What "if" the game is a dead rubber (which it could be if Comets beat Jets in round 16) and jets don't want to play the game? then it wouldn't.

you are forgeting about the vipers... they have the easy run home!!!

would have been nice to have the comets v modbury catch up game completed before the last round so all teams know where they finish on the ladder at the same time with the exception of RBE who were the unfortunate team to have the bye!!!
