SAASL - Unofficial Android App - NOW AVAILABLE "GOOGLE PLAY"

Post by Unavailable »

Hi all,

Edit 28-04-12 OK disregard the previous text - I have uploaded to the Google Marketplace "Google Play" and app is called SAASL

Essentially it is a bunch of links taken straight from the website so it is pretty basic. Perhaps I could improve the app as my knowledge increases but right now it's at the bottom of the list for me. Maybe I have inspired someone to create something awesome instead

Works fine for me. Not the best app, but does what it says. I've installed other apk files in the past. Nothing unusual here

Hi,

I am sorry that I have created this confusion and caused some users to interpret this as a virus! I haven't uploaded to google play because I am a tight muscat and do not want to pay the $25 fee in order to create a developers account  By all means run the apk file in an android simulator and test it for yourself prior to installing it on your phone - I used http://bluestacks.com/

Like I said this is a no frills basic app, which essentially provides a few shortcuts at the click of a button, so I wouldn't expect anything fancy.
I have attached some images to hopefully prove that point that this is in actual fact "homemade" software.

EDIT - DISREGARD THIS POST AS IT IS NOW AVAILABLE AT GOOGLE PLAY.

34 downloads in 24 hours, yet only 1 other person has mentioned in this topic. Would love to know if it is working for you or not.

PS I used the online software "iBuildApp" to create this, so I might just create a version for the iPhone. However, without using iTunes I don't know how you can install it.

I was thinking the same thing. I really don't know why to be honest. I used the ibuildapp program to create it and just does that bit automatically.

It seems the issue is due to the app being sideloaded when first released, these permissions may now change now it is available via google play

some info here on permissions
http://www.androidcentral.com/android-p ... y-security

Edit
Reinstalled via google play and the permissions are the same, some of the info box/drop down menu boxes are not displaying full text on my phone, but might be due to my phone being rooted and running custom roms

also an updated link for this page would be helpful to fans wanting to locate and get directions to grounds from within your app

Hi,

I did originally try to include this but it was showing up as a blank screen on the app, so I left it out for now.

This topic was reported as spam so I decided to check it out myself.

I have just installed it on my phone, and looks genuine to me. Pretty handy app to have as well, rather than going through the phone browser every time. Only issue is, it appear that it is not available in the market for my tablet? Otherwise all good.
