Good opportunity to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Elizabeth Downs Senior Teams...their first official League game game was against Macedonia United ( formerly MU Findon ) in the SAASL Sunday Division 3 in 1971.

Im pretty sure they have two ressies sides. They entered 4 teams this year, 1 in div 1 with reserves and 1 in div 4 with reserves. So they have 2 reserves teams? Did that make any sense? :) :?:

I know they have a div 4 side, just thought Ingle Farm and Murray Bridge might like to know which side they've got and Spoc might like to know who to send where.

I think in the 1st round they can play it however they like, but they have to be careful, after that it becomes a cup - tied issue.

Those who play for either the div 4A+B in the cup 1st round, cannot play for the div 1 A+B side in following cup rounds.

A 4B player can move up to 4A,as is the case with the Div 1B can move up to div 1A - cant swap from one division to another during cup rounds,I think. Hope it makes sense, I am sure someone will correct me otherwise.

Spot on; The Div 1 A's and B's become a separate "club" to the Div 4 A's and B's so essentially you have two different Saint Peters Squads. Possible card check for whoever gets one of these teams in the next round (not saying they will cheat but mistakes can be made).

One would imagine that they would back one of the reserves and First teams as their stronger side, then try their best to be competitive with the other (in theory choosing their own Div 1 and Div 4 Teams).

You could confirm it with the league whether you have the Div 1 or Div 4 side but like I said they can choose whoever they want... savvy?

Yes, unless it is being used by one of the junior teams or is in bad condition.

Should be fine for our game.

Farm have won 4 of the past 5 reserves Cups, so would assume they'd wanna send there Div 4 side to Walkley Park, hope so anyway
