What is it with the Downs giving Gardens crap??? Gardens beat you on aggregate over Home and away games 3-1. Gardens have the leagues leading goalscorer. They Narrowed a 9 pt lead to 2 points. Neither club made the cup final. And yes you won the league for the FIRST time ever in Div 1, Gardens have won 4 Div 1 Leagues 1973, 1975, 1978 (equal) and 2002 Runners up 1984,1995,2003 and 2006. So I dont see what all the agro is about, you won the league CONGRATULATIONS! But Celebrate and get over it!!!

scrolling back through, i think you will find that WK started the sledging pal. and since when has an aggregate score counted for anything - other teams may have a better aggregate as well - villa?? its about consistent performances over the entire year. its not the downs fault that you were crap at the begining of the year.

Why is WK from Gardens??? What are you talking about Villa for they were mid table and no good really?? I was talking about Gardens as a Club no one else. And like I said Im happy for the Downs to break there Virginity as such. But out of nowhere Gardens were called Sooks, didnt see the connection!!

I seem to recall a few years ago when Parafield won the leauge after coming up to div 1 after a few years out. That was all they won that year, but they all still managed to say that that was all that counted... WInning the leauge.

Now that the shoe is on the other foot, it is a different story. Agregate, what we won back in the 70's, leading gaols scorer (which wouldnt have happening if your mob didnt kick the cabernet out of our forward). That dont mean cabernet this year! COZ YOULL WIN F**K ALL THIS YEAR!

Downs are STILL and always WILL BE a bigger club than parafield will ever be. Clubrooms are better, supporters are better, and now, Our first team is better. So get back in your hole, and let us have our moment, and we will see you next year!

other threads has WK supporing gardens and abusing the downs. i was just pointing out that its irrelevant if one team has a better aggregate, its points overall that matter. who cares that gardens finished strong - points are worth the same at the begining of the season as they are at the end. too little too late.
