In 2004 SAASL celebrated 40 years and a brief history was published in the 2004 Year Book.

Ordered by number of points gained for comparison....2 points for a win converted to 3 points and vice-versa.
*note in 1966 Munno Para Apac gained 41 points - 2 points/per win ( or 61 points - 3 points/win from 22 games.)
