Far out, that is a fresh faced John McCormack as leading scorer!

As did NAB and Fulham ?Bomber wrote:Adelaide Eagles! Great memories. Lots of asterisks alongside their player's names!
Tomlinson must have polled a near record in the B&F, but there were 22 games !

Re: Division 2 - 1991
My first year in the SAASL, as a teammate, Geoff was too good for that level. However, the referees did seem to have a soft spot for him.
I remember running into Johnny Mac that year, ouch, gutsy effort for him to continue playing carrying a towel around to stop the nosebleed. No blood rule back then. Must admit that was the best hip/shoulder I ever delivered (I did take the ball at the same time).
Good to see some of the Para Hills players still playing at Westies over 35s (Eggan, Skelton, Parker, Blandford).

What I can't work out with the Eagles that year is how Rushani did not have an asterisk against his name? Must of been the only year ever that occurred?Bomber wrote:Adelaide Eagles! Great memories. Lots of asterisks alongside their player's names!

Have you always been stupid or is that something you learnt along the way? If you read my comment, I commended his bravery, one of the gutsiest things I have seen from any playermichael duberry wrote:how tough are you J mac is 5 foot tall and 52 kilos.

I remember going to watch these guys play as a kid. My father was mates with a lot of the boys and I particularly enjoyed watching the Ninos brothers, especially Jimmy. He was all class, too good for amateurs really. How fast was Pham?? He was lightning, but to my memory he was always injured. As you said, a lot of great memories and the infamous "EEEEEAAGLES" chant.Bomber wrote:Adelaide Eagles! Great memories. Lots of asterisks alongside their player's names!
Some other big names from memory were Pantelis with the big throw-ins, Chris (Tucky) Takianos, Damien the right winger to name a few.
