I heard Westevelt has signed with Western Strikers, so no longer doing Florina job. I could be wrong as it is silly season.

Also heard a Northern Div 1 club could also be looking for a new coach, because he has had to resign.

I highly doubt that abour Westervelt.

All but Vale of the Northern Div 1 clubs have their coaching positions filled. Which club are you refering to?

it mentioned movement - mine will just be the same movement. I did think about going to Croydon, but i'd be too drunk to play.

Not in our amateur side (or Metro side for next season). All seasoned campaigners at balancing booze and the game! You'd fit right in!

Spoke to westers on Monday. Seems very excited about his new role as a coach. will be a great addition, not only to Florina, and the SAASL as well.
I think my drinking club has a soccer problem.....

I've seen the league table from you super league side, imagine how poor your amateur side will be

They finished bottom too! See the common denominator? We still celebrate regardless. Apparantly the amatuer boys were totalled worse than us at last game. Especially that they actually won 4-3 after being 3-0 down!

Heard about that win - wasn't the opposition coach a bit put out by that scoreline?

Btw is Joe (damn forgotten the surname but statrs L) coaching the amateurs next season, I heard rumour some months ago that he was returning to the club.

Larecki maybe? If he's back, some boys may need to hide their beers (some even walk on to pitch and have to put the empty somewhere before kick off) and have some good excuses not to train!

I just wonder if the players would warm to him. Most dont take it as seriously as he would. I could be wrong, but Joe is about winning and fitness. Most blokes I know are about having a game (prefer to win, but if not, no biggie) and a drink or 20 after/during/before the game.

Fair point - I guess it just comes down to what the club wants to achieve with its amateurs. There are always C teams for a kick around and a drink or 20 but I would expect that most clubs want to be playing at their highest level possible.

True - not saying all are piss heads, but the better players are, so without them they would struggle even more. But, every season brings about some changes, so will just have to wait and see.
