PreSeason Amateur Cup

Post by deets »

Guys,

The Para Hills Soccer Club are looking at holding a preseason cup for amateur teams to be held at The Paddocks.
There would be 2 groups of 4 playing each other once with the top 2 teams from each group advancing to the semi finals etc.
There will be prizemoney for the top 4 - finalists & 3rd v 4th playoff.
This is looking at starting in late Feb with double header games on Wednesdays & Fridays.
Invites to clubs are set to go out next week with a 1st in 1st serve basis of who wants to participate.

What do you guys think of this - could possibly look at the northern clubs!

What about Saturday teams?
Can they enter?

Fantastic idea deets - good money spinner for the club as well. If I can get the Eastern Suburbs Challenge off the ground for 2009, maybe we could have a North vs East one-off game as well??

was just a rough list but din't want to make the suggestion all div one or all div 2 as i don't think its a good idea for a club to play a team from the same division, but yes add those three in and you have the top 11 northern clubs to chose from, maybe three groups and add para hills lions fgrom div 4 i think as well...

My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy she knows that he was going with this girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 flavours last night. Guess it's pretty serious

Thanks for all the positive replys - will get this going.
By all the feedback I could have got 4 groups of 4 involved & played a mini preseason tournament.

Once again thanks & I will advise further.

Parafield Gardens will be hosting the City Of Salisbury Mayor's Preseason Cup during Feb 09 with prize money. A number of clubs have already expressed interest, so it looks like there could be 2 preseason comps going. The more the merrier.

An expressions of interest has now gone out to several clubs in order to look at getting this off the ground.

The Mayors Cup. Was a good tournament, enjoyed by all teams participating, would be great to see it get off the ground again.

I am waiting for the clubs that were notified to get back to me with their replys of yes or no.
Once I have received all confirmation I can send out the fixtures but we did have the competition starting mid Feb with the finals early March.
