Old Ignatians' vs Adel Uni - Who's Your Tip?

Post by sweeps »

Well well well! Old Ignatians have their season in their own hands, and must beat one of their rivals on Saturday to ensure they stay up in Div 1!
For Uni, nothing to play for, EXCEPT they would love to see Iggies go down and more importantly, be the ones to SEND them down!
For Iggies, have been in this boat before. Stirling did Iggies no favours by losing to Africa last week. Now, MUST WIN to stay up! No excuses!
Will the coach panic? Who will he select? Will Iggies stand up and deliever the goods?
All will be revealed this Saturday arvo, at 3!
Crowd numbers should be huge! BBQ will be running hot and the beers will be flowing!

As for my tip, Iggies. JUST, 2-1!

Your tips?

I'll be there from just before 1:00pm to watch both games. Hawkesy will be pleased. He usually bags goals when I show up. :D

Neither team would want those scores.

Interesting choice. That would suck for both clubs involved.

Uni to win ressies 3-1

Iggies to win firsts 2-0 and not be relegated.

I'll take that right now, the A's result is a lot more important (still we'll be playing to win though). Can I score the 1? :D

I'd be happy with a draw in the reserves.

Iggies to win the firsts, more to play for.

surely the uni will strengthen the reserves team to take out the title? hence possibly handing the iggies greater chance of victory in the first team match.

terrible if they do that more than the usual possible ins and outs... surely those who are so close to the reserves title deserve the chance to win it??? as opposed to being 'pushed up'

i'm not talking about a complete squad change, just a few timely inclusions. You've got to do your best to eliminate the 'if only' scenarios and give the club the best chance of winning a title, but hey that's only my opinion and what i'd be doing if i were associated with Uni.

I'm just pissed off I got injured in the Uni - BOSA game last weekend, and probably won't be able to take part in either game.

I'm not going to tip, as I may jinx it :) like last weekend. I reckon the only thing guaranteed is a two cracking games.

Vigilante - well done on your promotion, mate. Bravo. Hope you are still hungover. Will we see you this weekend?

I have been informed that the league have given this game an official ref for the reserves and 3 match officials for the A's game.

we certainly hope to, anticipating a decent crowd. Getting in the right amount of wolf burgers and beers might be a hard task as no-one really knows about numbers. If they get too many beers, I'll have to take some home myself.

Think Iggies will struggle tomorrow! Too many people out from firsts!
Hopefully they can perform with their backs to the wall.

Anyone for a tip on the big game?

BREAING NEWS:

Bad news for Wanderers fans: Hawkesy is doubtful for this game. A neck injury could see the star striker unable to play, after breaking down in training last night, the ""youthful" striker was said to be devestated at the possibility of missing the last game of the season.
