Seems strange to me that these matches were postponed, thought Gardens pitch would've handled the rain!! It was at Gardens right?
Lots of water sitting on the pitch when we got there for the C's and B's. The Gardens boys swept the water off and the sun and wind helped dry it out. After the first team game, the pitch was cut up really badly so it wouldn't have survived 2 or 3 games. There was a small chance the A's wouldn't have even played

Bummer. Were looking forward to it.
Heard a rumour Bosna had the sprinklers on all morning.
Cant confirm.

good call Right Winger
Too bad the game didnt go ahead. However if this means that it'll be played next weekend when most teams have a bye Bosna may get a bigger than usual crowd in what's sure to be an entertaining match.

Also congratulations to Vista. Good solid win.
So with Raptors' win today, promotion is still up for grabs with Raptors to play Fulham last game of season.

And to the Raptors boys, well played. Another shakey start today, falling 2-0 down early. Gutsy performance to come back and snatch the win.
well played Sthn Knights, a much improved side from earlier in the year. Also good healthy club atmosphere you have going there at the club. Keep up the good work
Did you get on the score sheet today Sacred??
Couldn't make the trip up there today to see you boys get back into the winners circle, had family obligations on. When are you guys back at home??
no unfortunately i didn't score. Ben scored first in calssic Matthew's Style (scrappy). Returning from his *suspension* Peter scored the equaliser in the 2nd half. However, as expected, Johnny scored the glorious winner and he was the player everyone was talking about (as per usual). felt i played ok though. both teams reduced to 10 men but Sthn Knights lost a player to a dirty tackle first and during this time raptors clawed 3 back. not sure when we're home next. we can catch up then ok medallion!

*Peter is now back on the suspension list, where he is most comfortable*

Sunday Div 3

B's - Brahma Lodge 0 v Adelaide Vikings 5
A's - Brahma Lodge 1 v Adelaide Vikings 3

The pitch was heavily waterlogged but both games went ahead, the B's after a slow start powered home against the breeze in the second half to win 5-0, a great WIN to bounce back after their disappointing result last week.

In the A grade the pitch now looked very chopped up which proved to make the game an ugly spectacle with it near impossible to play a fluent passing game, lots of late slide tackles and hard challenges due to the conditions. Although we were severely undermanned today including not having a keeper available at the club one of the onfield players stepped up to stand in goals. We raced out to a 2-0 lead in which both clubs had ample half chances early, Brahma pulled one back just before the half and it stayed that way till the 85th minute mark when we sealed it. A point was all we needed today to secure the title, it was a great bus ride home with many beers been consumed.

Tuncay, yeah, Bosnia* did beat Croatia but
Euro is over. Get over it.
Bosnias* win over Croatia in Euro 08 was muscat, pure muscat.
You can claim superiority blah blah blah etcetera,
but even you know it was muscat. You do.

Tuncay, I'm confused...r u a bosanac or a turk? Stop sitting on the fence and show some balls.

Please clarify and apply respond to point A or B...

A) U support Turkey coz ur a Turk

or

B) U support Turkey coz Bosna will never qualify for a tournament that counts i.e Euro or WC?

Za nas, boli nam kurac...bili zadnji ili prvi, samo da nas glas grmi! 8)

More than I can say for Boanci ha...defacto cheer squad for a country that really ain't a part of Europe...like Israel

If u r a Turk...I was in Europe watching Germany beat Turkey...make sense glupan?

Either way - rain did ya a favour today.

yes its true we lost to payneham. the game should never have gone ahead as the pitch was the worse i had ever played on the ball would not even move. but i guess payneham took there chances when it mattered also wanted to mention that i think the referee never had control of the game and let stupid tackles fly in from both teams when the conditions were dangerous enuf as it is... anyway congratulations to payneham on getting a much needed 3 points

Much better 2nd half but the 2 goals were too much to claw back.

2nd goal for Vista though was clearly off side by at least 2 metres but Vista deserved the points for the chances they created - had 3 or 4 other good chances to score.

The week off has come at a good time or Fulham ad we will re-group.

We have come too far to throw it away now.
Not to turn the screw or cause a fuss but it was your linesman that was in the best position to give this decision?? i cannot comment as i was running the other line at the time but if he deemed it legal i guess it was..........
florina - worst game they have played all year..beach looked a team fighting relegation and florina didn't look interested.
heats up the relegation battle

gardens 14
pontians 13
beach 12
east 7
Interesting to see the in-fighting taking its toll at Florina. Too many big names. Every one wants to be the big hero and can't handle that somebody else in the team is getting paid more than them. All want to play as individuals and not as a team like us at Westies. Watch for the mass exodus of players at the end of the season down there

Big comment there.

Westies have been playing well all year but still yet to win.

And if Beaman leaves at the end of the year without silverware and the players follow that he brought they will be back to where they were before him - always a tough team to play but lacking that something to win silverware.

The Ingle Farm game will be the clincher if you ask me and not the Vale game at the end of the season.

I would've thought that if a club was going to pay players that all would be paid the same to eliminate bitching!

You are an absolute knob Chopper, in house fighting make me laugh..
All season you chuck comments here and there about Florina, you obviously have a problem with us..You worry about your own team an prepare for Div 4 in 2009, cause you aren't even from Westies cause thats a CONtradiction. Cause if you play with westies you could of come up and introduced yourself and i would of bought you a scotch & diet coke.

Here's how it will look at the end.
USC Lion
Ingle Farm
Pontians ( Cup winners )
Vale ( Cup Runners up )
Downs
Parafield Gardens
Para Hills West
Para Hills East
Florina
West Beach
Print it out and stick it on your desk
yeah predict us last and westies 7th ..hmmm doubt you would of rated your team there ,forget where you are from in january  ...westies lads are a great bunch of blokes and very confident and would rate themselves alot higher than that.

Chopper, whoever you are, you're certainly a tosser!

It's obvious you know nothing about Florina! There is no in-fighting. This is my first year at the club and I can assure you the atmosphere within is second to none! Great bunch of people from the committee down to the players.
What happened yesterday was a combination of injuries to key players and a form slump by others. Credit has to go to West Beach for a gutsy, workmanlike performance.
