The messinian derby is BACK

Post by To Mati »

Gryphons V MA Hawks @ Fulham Sat 1st July.

This game brings passion, rivalvry, hope, happiness, tradition, Fists and Froth.

The first clash saw many cards and lots of frustration on and off the park. Big crowds on both sides and another neutral crowd standing between the two camps.

Gryphons defeated Hawks 2-0 (I think) in the 1st clash, and the Hawks are desperate for the revenge, but can they eliminate the mythical creature?

3-2 to the MA HAWKS

Saba launched a free kick from outside the box and made the keeper look pretty well ordinary. Hawks were up 1-0.

Gryphons came back with an equalizer (offside?) and then somehow jagged a very questionable penalty, which was calmly slotted home. Gryphons up 2-1. (I think thats how they scored or the penalty was 1st? who cares.)

Hawks persisted in the closing minutes, equalised and took the all important 3rd goal from some clumsy defending.

Have to say though, both teams had there chances and the grypons truly will be disspointed by not finishing there chances.

mmmm i wouldnt say blame the ref i thought he did allright even tho he missed a few hand balls and some challenges...his decissons where fairly even and leveld out for both teams...yeah gryphons first was a soft penaltie which shouldnt have been called and their second was a well finished through ball, other than that the better team won...
