Title of this thread should probably read Results May 31st/June 1st as some divisions are only playing round four (sunday division ten), but anyway
Saturday Division One:

A's: African Allstars 2 Old Ignations 3
B's: African Allstars 0 Old Ignations 5

Does anyone remember Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five's "The Message"?
It's like a jungle sometimes and it makes me wonder how I keep from going under
The Allstars' pitch was a bit of a jungle, so much so that you could barely see the ball in the grass on the far side of the pitch. Expect Hawkesy's post count to double this week after he bagged a hatrick in the reserves. He may actually have got four. Before the game kicked off I was asked to run the line for the Iggies and the first thing he said was if you call me offside I'm going to give you stick on the forum for the next week. Too bad I was at the other end and unable to do that. I have to say the African's referee did a good job.

Strangely enough it was the Allstars who asked me to run the line for them in the A's game. This was an entertaining contest and the Africans were unlucky not to have got a draw out of it. They blazed enough shots over the bar. Having said that the Iggies took more of their chances.

I saw this tie last season and by contrast today's game was played in extremely good spirits.

It was 4, before subbing off with 30 still to play. JOB DONE!!

BUT being the shy retiring type that I am, I don't like to mention it.

I presume from your comments above that the A's score is actually the B's score and vice versa.

hey laney , when the ref made a error in your penalty box and gave wanderers a indirect free kick, what did we do, do you remember???????? we kicked it out for a goal kick, so stop the crap and gave you guys a penalty after 3 min

oooh someone isnt happy. BOSA are certainly a danger side as they are not bad at all. I believe they will be top 4 by the end of the season.... Big call i know....

Some great results for Saints today, 1 point off top and still Wanderers to play....

And whats that Bodo stuffed up!!! All I can say is... wow.....

Anyway.....

Navarino 1 - 4 SPOC
Good to get a result on a danger game for us. What a poor standard of football though. I thought that after being 3 nil up, and very comfortable at half time, we should have scored at least another 5?? We had ALL the play, except for the goal  , and the final ball was just poo. Anyway in all honesty i think that Navarino are in some serious trouble, as they are the worst team that we have played all year. I dont like saying that but they truely are. Sorry Teza. I thought they argued way to much amongst themselves and just didnt play together as a team. But the second half went to a walk and was very very average.... But all in all not a bad performance to win 4-1 playing so poorly. Good luck to Navarino, and hopefully we can get the points against Africa next week, another danger game for us.

Duly assisted by their referee... what a joke he was!

Nonetheless we should have killed the game earlier and missed a penalty at 3-3, which caused a few of the young lads to drop their heads... further than they had already! But credit to Navarino for fighting it out to the end.

A's: Payneham Postel 1 Vikings 2
B's: Payneham Postel 1 Vikings 5
W's: Out 0 Adelaide Villa 1

Prior to the A team kick off one look at the referee reminded me of a quote Randoman made some weeks ago Image
Randoman wrote:I'm sorry but there should be an anti-tosser measure in the referee contract.... being able to at least talk to a referee should be a must.... Believe me, i know both sides of the story, but when you get to the stage where you see a referee before the game and cringe cos you know the game is going to be a lottery, its gone too far...
And as I expected there seemd to be a lot of bizarre decisions today. I'm curious as to what led to the free kick that Payneham Postel scored from because I never saw anything. On the whole I think the Vikings were the better side.

The same goes for the reserves, although it took them a while before they killed it off. Payneham Postel may have had claims for a penalty in the first half. Neither me nor the referee were near enough to acuately tell if the foul was inside or out, but I thought it was a foul. The bizarre thing was the referee ruled it an indirect free kick which suggests he didn't see the infringement I saw, otherwise whether it was in the box or not should have been direct.

Only saw the back end of the women's game. It was decided by a penalty goven for handball. I didn't see a handball but I wasn't in the best postions to see it and none of the Out players protested it.

A's 5 : 1
B's 5 : 0

Good clean games. Para Hills are a good bunch of blokes.
