Good work Swanny, great photo of the Vale back in the day. Some vale legends there also some great MOvembers. Johnny Cotter, Billy Orr. Norm Matthews coached me as a junior at the Vale a real hard nut on the football field.

How the hell did the lead singer of Wolfmother get in this photo(front left) spot on lookalike, GOLD.

I know its a black & white photo, but it would seem that their current gold and black colours weren't their original colours. Anyone confirm?

Vale always used to be Blue and white when I played juniors, having said that, black and gold might have been their original colours

Wonder when/why they changed? The photo would therefore had jerseys similar to the old Hellas side of the same era (ie blue with white sleeve).

Salisbury Inter used to be blue tops and black shorts, now they are black and blue stripes.
Parafield Gardens had the black and gold stripes for as long as I can remember.
Elizabeth Downs started out in green shirts and white shorts.
Vale were probably yellow shirts and black (or white) shorts.
