Its Ingle mate...

Saw a few ex team mates there tonight... good on em for coming out i say 8) ...Cheers to the Ingle lads for having a beer afterwards. Good luck for the season.

Farm passed the ball well in a scrappy afair, both sides experimenting alot. Our keeper had a blinder, well done to L. Mahoney. His cheeky little lob handed us the win. :clown:

Farm Keeper injured. Hope its not serious, all the best with the recovery.

That result does surprise me somewhat, but lion always have a strong squad down there. So who played for both teams? Any new recruits out there redders? Were both teams at full strength?

Good game last night. Game was played in 3 30min thirds. A massive breeze down there to made it hard but was nice to play on a ground that wasnt a dust bowl

The majority of our first team played in the first 30 mins. I think we were 1 nil up.
Our ressies came on in the second 30 and conceeded 2.
A mix of ressies and first teamers in the third 30.

Was good to get a half decent run under the belt. Lion did well and should do well again this year. Fitness there only problem. They pass the ball around better than any team in the league. Lion had everyone of note out there, including Redders (lucky goal mate!!). We are still missing Paul Jones who should be training this week after getting a medical all clear.

In saying that I think we created 30 chances and took 1 so lots of work on shooting to be done.

Redders knee was all a scam. His he isn't good and so he will play mainly ressies.

Drago still coaching. Didnt have a run last night.

I definitely thought there were some very promising signs with the way we played last night. Knocked the ball around really well and made heaps of good chances. Most people just need to work on their finishing. :D

Very promising, Farm had some 36 plus shots to 4 or 5 by the Lion... a bit of shooting practice and the finishing will come. The Lion keeper player very well and made some very good saves.

In those conditions and the Farms first game, it was a good hit out and the coaches definitely took a lot away from it.

Tell the truth Jay...

Ingle First team vs Lion First team 1-0 -- Farm with Breeze

Ressies vs Ressies/First team 0-1 ---Lion with Breeze

First team/ Ressies vs B/C grade/Backyarders 0-1 --- Farm with breeze

But yes you did have alot of chances to score :P

Knee not ready yet, pulled up a little sore this morning. Ive seen three secialists and all beleive my MRI is wrong. Apparently it is only a partial tear and it will heal by itself better then a rfeconstruction. So lots of bike work to build the quads and I should be able to run out for the ressies come first game

Dont play down my goal Jay ,I thnk you were supposed to be marking me aye  ?

You guys did play well and the line ups where spot on.

As for your mistimed header, I was still off at that time.

Nice goal though mate. If you do play B's, hopefully you wont score to many against us.

Went well mate. Knocked it around well. Everyone got at least 45 mins or more. A lot sharper tonight and played with more pace.

Te be honest mate. You guys had alot of the ball and it was just your finishing that let you down. We have a couple of players to come into that side. Ricky from Stirling will be very useful when fit. We had a new player rock up to training last night, he's played in england and is here on a working visa.

How bout your two new players, anynews on them signing? Im willing to put a beer on with ya that they wont  ...hope i havent spoken to soon. The defender might, but the older one in the middle would struggle to make ur reserves :P

Two weeks to the season, still alot of work to do.. but i think the heat wave has interuppted the preseason for most teams.

B grade has improved out of sight. Compared to last year anyhow. I Dont think they'll finish bottom this year.
