Ok just got back from Grange Reserve. There were two games on.

Saturday Div 1

Bosa 0 - 3 Striling (not sure if Bosa or Stirling scored before I got there. I missed maybe first 10mins, but I know Stirling won and scored at least three)

Saturday Div 2

Adelaide Wanderers 5 - 1 Monarchs

Pesta dont know if you seen the Gryphons play last year compared to this year??? If you have do you think they have improved? I watched the Monarchs v Wanderers game today, and the Wanderers were very good, disciplined and solid. They pass the ball well. Having played against Modbury, Grpyhons and Breakers last season, the Wanderers look like they will be a very strong unit this year and could account for these teams based on last year. But of course every team has changes some improve and get worse so I could be proved wrong.

Love the pic Rob! Uncanny resemblance...

Surprise loss for Bosa. Although Stirling have been a quality team recently, Bosa have assembled a class outfit.

And what happened to Iggies? Sturt-Marion have been average for the past couple of years.

the comets will struggle this year. I think they fielded their div2 side from last season as the majority of their 1st div side went into the state league squad. I am looking forward to catching up with you Lozza this weekend. Should be a good match. We were fairly evenly matched last season. Have you guys still got the same squad?

Florina 1 - Gardens 2 a's
Florina 3 - Gardens 2 b's

florina really should've had it in the bag in the a's, created endless amount of opportunities but couldn't put it in the auld onion bag. aldridge made quite a few great saves in the first half as well.

Modbury Vista 1-0 Limnos. Fairly even first half but Vista dominated the second.

Should have been at least 4-0, Vista's finishing was poor, missing several clear cut chances.

Ref was shocking for us too. I can't see how you can say the referee beat you 1-0 when you did not create one clear cut chance all day. We had 4 or 5 great chances in the second half and should have buried you. Poor finishing from us plus I rate your keeper highly, he had a good game, very strong in the air and good handling.

Fulham 3 - PHE 6

Fulham up 2-0 after 10mins and burning then an own goal from a deflection and after that it was 4 goals in the next 10 mins to make it 5-2 to PHE.

Ref was a joke - penalty saved at 3-2 for Fulham and ref made him take it again for absoultely nothing except the ref just wanted to be the centre of attention and made it 4-2.

PHE deserved win but defintely not a 3 goal better side - ref spoilt what was a good game - must have been 12 yellows and a send off at the end for PHE.

considering u guys mod vista new the ref from a first name basis.heres a quote from during the second half..

(john the ref to a vista player) mark that tall bloke he is good in the air.

(stingray player to john the ref) hey ref u cant say that to the players

(john the ref) shut ur mouth or ill give u a yellow card...

mmmm sound like favourtism to me but hey u guys scored the only goal(which was offside but over ruled by johnny boy)
good luck for the season and see u guys in the return leg

Number 10 for us or you? I'd like to congratulate No. 10 for the 2 metre dive into the air that got one of our players booked.

I think you're getting confused with the reserves, there was no conceivable way our goal in the first team could have been offside.

The referee was soft for both teams, I personally thought both teams were on the end of some poor decisions. However, this DID NOT affect the result one bit, Vista were the better team and deserved the 3 points.

Despite your concerns with the referee, do you admit that you guys were completely outplayed in the second half?

who gave the ref a blowie at the end of tha match??

shocking for u? dont make me laugh..

oh... an can someone please explain how we conceded a free kick after OUR player was brought down from BEHIND??????

please help me.. im at my wits end trying to figure that one out......

hey avenell.. i was directly in line with that offside and it was def offside, why have a linesman if tha ref (who was a good 20 plus meters away) wont listen to him??

as for not affecting tha score??? we'll that 'offside' resulted in the only goal for the match"

so anyway.. who gave ur mate 'john' tha ref a blowie?

hey avenell road we have had john as a ref before and in my books i rated him as the most fairest non biase ref around..but after 2days efforts it looked as if he really favoured u guys 2day and in my book that really fux up a good game of football.

anyways good luck for the season and we shall see u guys next encounter.
