Yeah but they have recruited 3 experienced and still young ex prem/super league players. they are not playing at that level due to work and personal commitments...

Good luck to the lads...

fairly decent squad for the A's this season assembled, a fairly young squad with a few experienced players, should do well in Div 4, not going to be biast and say they will dominate and win the league (like most people say about their team), but they will be in the top 3 this season,

kafets
mick rompus
jimmy beligris
johnny sezenias
terry sibonis
vangeli
jimmy salagaras
terry birbas
dimmy peppas
kosta and theo
darius
narhos
peter (new italian bloke)

Asteras defenitly lost 4-3 on the weekend, Asteras looked in good form though. problem was losing their keeper early in the first half by getting kicked in the head by his own player.

meant the team had to play 15 minutes with ten men until a substitute keeper was kitted up, tired the boys out and let them concede 3 by half time. scored 3 in the second half but noarlunga also managed to put one in to seal the win.

wasnt such a bad results for the first match of the season.

Boys did well, also considering first time run out together, still have a lad or to to return from injuries...

Overall, pretty good. Some great football from Astreas, especially the second have, with many chances begging away in front of goals. its only a step forward for the boys.

agree Red Empire, its only Div 4 its not the Super League, but they will be up ther ethis season when there players are all fully fit, sezenias played on one foot on sunday, rumpus hasnt played much been coaching more, losing billy in goals is a huge loss for the club in any game, kosta been injured a bit so will be in form soon, peppas was suspended so will be back next week, salagaras was wasted from the night before still due to one of the B's players Bucks night.

noarlunga where out on there feet in the second half, had no midfield asteras where all over them for a bit, but a top game from noarlunga keeper and like a said 4 goals from a striker on debut sealed the win.

Unlucky for asteras losing there keeper was only bout 10mins in wasnt it, also the ref wasnt the best for either side, also to the lad cooking the suasgae sizzle much thanks for that, also for his good sportsmanship as well. One last thing where are the showers lads?i konw we have water restrictions but...

It's the back of the eye that's injured so it shouldn't effect me as I don't look backwards

So what do you say now ManicD after yesterday 3-1 victory by Asteras?

Was a good game though and can not wait for the return leg, i like playing in close tight matches like this, makes the games more enjoyable then the blow out scores.

We are certainly disappointed with our second half. I agree that you first team has improved from last year though. Looks like there should be a number of teams fighting for the title in Div 4 this year.

I actually enjoyed the match yesterday with 1 and a half eyes. It was played in good spirit except for 1 player from each team for about 5 mins in the second half, lol.

true that...its good to see the fighting spirit from the team, to keep composed and overcome trailing at first and to score...

always improving and on the up...

i believe that we were much more capable yesterday...still pulled off a great result and once again, missed chances...
