Re: Not long before AUFC-W season ends
Then what happens? A- Clear the decks. Put the local girls out to pasture for a long rest in WNPL. And please. No more gold passes to NTC players. It's wrong and they're years away from playing at WNPL let alone W league. Billy the kid, I agree with your comments, but not all the locals. Firstly, t...

I will be the first to comment and say that lady reds were extremely good, confident and aggressive. Finally, Ivan has finally shown faith in placing Condon back on the wing where she should be and Grant at right back. That's a start, but a bit too late in the season now. Great to see changes made i...

Re: Head Coach Needs to Resign
Michael, Are you kidding me, another Ivan bashing topic. Ivan is in the spotlight and he is aware that this comes with the territory. Unfortunately, Ivan's team is sitting at the bottom of the ladder and looking like remaining there at the end of the season. I am not going to sit here and blame the...

Head Coach Needs to Resign
Last night I walked away from Marden Sports Centre unable to fathom or comprehend the enormity of what just had occurred. The lady Reds were extremely disappointing and looked extremely flat. They were unable to string passes together and had no-one up forward to finish off. Again, if it were not fo...

AUFWC vs Sydney FC
Again a very dispiriting game and yet again another disappointing selection by the coaches. I find it incredibly ludicrous the coaching staff decided to play Dawber as the main striker. Dawber is an attacking midfielder. The question has to be asked why the coaching staff not select another striker ...

I'm glad I stayed home today and watched this game. I was very disappointing to lose again by one goal. I cannot fathom the tactics used by Adelaide united. 1. Laura Johns who has been a consistent player not even selected on the bench. 2. Again Campagnale in the midfield 3. Dawber on the wing, she ...

Re: Lady Reds In Disarray
The development squads and programmes are good if done in the right way, and I have been saying for over 12 months now that our current set up and structure is not working and I wont go in to the reasons why - if they cant see that they need to go too. Our young developing players are missing out, ...

Re: Lady Reds In Disarray
Sportsbird, which local WNPL players, currently not in the squad, do you feel have the skills and ability, and more importantly the desire, to play at W-league level? I’m curious. Reading between the lines, it appears by your comments there is no current WNPL players good enough or near enough to p...

Re: Lady Reds In Disarray
You know things are on the nose with AUFC- W when not even Migliacio writes anymore articles about them. He's jumped off the wagon 3 weeks ago I think they will win a game and or get a point from a draw and then we will all hold hands and say it was another year of almosts. The happy brigade in her...

Lady Reds In Disarray
Sorry guys, but I could not stand being silent any longer and listen to people on this forum saying how well the Lady reds are going. Please. The lady reds are bottom of the ladder without a win and only three goals in five games and one of those goals was from a penalty. The poor start to the seaso...

I have decided to hang the boots and end my oponions and rumours on this forum. Re: Adelaide City Appoints Max Primaro as Head Coach
It appears, Adelaide City players met on Monday night without the new coach to discuss their disappointment with the committee over a promise made to them that they will be consulted and have an input in selection process of a new coach for season 2020. As a result, several players approached prospe...

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
Veronica Latsko has signed with Sydney FC. What a huge loss to the club. I am very disappointed as Veronica was a standout player that offered us hope in making the finals last season. Question must be answered as to the reason why Veronica has chosen not to return to Adelaide United. I can assure y...

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
The major downfall of this thread is that assertions have been made by SB regarding the contracting of injured players to the exclusion of presumably fit and otherwise comparable players. In itself this is a reasonable basis for complaint given the short season etc. What is very unreasonable is the...

Re: NTC to remain in the WNPL in 2020
Sportsbird is not picking on anyone at all, she's merely pointing out a fact. I spoke to the Federation the other month who told me that United were 100% going up and NTC were 100% coming down to Div 1 in 2020. The Federation also ensured me they would work with United to help them achieve WNPL acc...

NTC to remain in the WNPL in 2020
The NTC have been given the all clear to remain the WNPL in 2020. Unfortunately, Salisbury United will not be promoted as they are unable to meet the criteria. Again, the FFSA fail to get the competition right with their policies and competition rules. It's simple, create a rule that all division 1 ...

Sorry Guys, I was in the process of editing my comments when my computer crashed. However, I still back my comments that Ivan has offered contracts to players still carrying injuries.
As for you Ben, you should think twice about commenting on people requiring help, poor choice of words.

Congrats to Jenna McCormick for joining Melbourne Victory. Well it seems we continue to see great SA players play for other teams. Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
Congratulation to Adelaide United in recruiting Mary & Ciara Fowler. They are certainly quality players to have on board. I just hope that the club does not rely on these two individuals to be a powerhouse in the W League. The Fowler sisters are young and need time to establish themselves in the...

Congratulations to all three players. A very exciting opportunity to begin the journey towards Olympic selection. But let's all remember it's a camp. They've been invited to camp. They're being given an opportunity to show what they've got in a camp setting so that Milicic can consider all of his o...

Adelaide City Appointed New Head Coach for 2020
I believe Adelaide City will soon be announcing Geoff Hargreaves as the new head coach of the women's senior team for 2020.
Geoff was a former FFSA Women's NTC coach and currently the assistant coach for the Adelaide City Men's senior team.
