Re: E&D

Heres a thought what if E&D and the SAASL joined forces they would have a strong comp with plenty of numbers. E&D dont have the numbers from U15 upwards but with SAASL on board it would fill that void. You would have two reasonably well run leagues together as one and pool their resources re...

Re: Small Sided Games

povman E&D discussed it at a meeting of clubs earlier this year and recently held a workshop with John Mundy from FFSA that it. All E&D are doing to introduce SSG is to encourage clubs to use it in their training drills (surely some coaches already doing it) which is basically nothing. Bigre...

Re: Small Sided Games

I have heard who and why E&D arent supporting SSG and unfortunately I am disappointed with their thinking and they preciously what to hold onto the Modified Rules Game. Maybe if the larger clubs like TTGully, Modbury Vista, Parafield Gardens, Para Hills & Elizabeth Downs or others got togeth...

Thats a shame we at the Gardens always loved playing against the Cougars good bunch of girls and we always had tough close games never forget the cup game that went to penalties even though we lost. Hope they find somewhere to play all the best to them.

What I would like to know is have the kids left because they want to improve and develop their skills with better coaching or do they think they have an opportunity to finish top of league for a particular club? Sadly I think considering our culture the answer will be the later. As for clubs not all...

Well hung...Your point regarding kids losing interest in the small sided game stucture IMO is wrong. As a coach of juniors I have seen first hand how the current structure fails our kids. Kids enjoy playing our summer 5 a side competition more than the winter 11v11 and 8v8 games this is backed up by...

I think kids can play 10 months of the year. When I started playing sport at 4yrs old in the 70's thats all I did was run around playing soccer, squash & basketball for clubs, with local kids in the street and school. Nowdays our kids learn from out of date coaching techniques and video games. A...

Small Sided Games

I recently read a presentattion done by FFA to its memeber federations regarding junior development. The emphasis is on player development and as a coach I strongly support this type of concept as the benefits far outway the stucture we have at the moment also it seems to be an easier structure for ...
