Div 5 Catch up game 16/9
Bosa 2 Stirling 3
Stirling up 2-0 before BOSA came back to equalise.
Winner scored in the last 5 minutes.
St Peters should really send us a keg after we derailed Sturt & now BOSA.

Div 5
Adel Uni 1 Stirling 2
With Uni pushing for an equaliser in the last 10 minutes.
With the chances we had we probably should have won by a few more.

Re: SAASL Rumours
Funny how some people can't read, but can manage to type insults. J5: "I just hope these new teams don't have ethinically related names." Miss Magic: "Why does it matter if the club is ethnic or not?" Can't be spelt out much clearer. He thinks there's nothing wrong with having cl...

Re: SAT DIV III LAST PROMOTION SPOT (cougars vs burundi)
Don't you love these cyber warriors? Talk it up big all through the season then sabotage themselves in their big game with 3 players sent off & they still don't get the message. Grow up boys & you might actually win something (or at least get promoted). Still smiling thinking about the score...

The name for the new united Greek super club will be 'FC Olympic Comet Hawk Navarino Old Boys'
Abbreviated to FCOCHNOB (I'll leave you to work out the pronunciation).

Div 5
Stirling 1 Sturt Marion 1
Sturt's stumble means they are level with St Peters but behind on goal difference & St Peters have a game in hand.

No problems for Div 1:- Gleeson & Africa relegated. Vipers & Sals Villa promoted. No problemo. In Div 2 IF (& looks like a big IF) Gleeson fold then:- Vipers & Sals Villa go up & out to Div 1. Monarchs & Flinders drop down & out to Div 3. Only Africa drop down & in fr...

Re: Classic Goals
I'll never forget a Charles Holding goal a few years ago at Bradwood Park. Turned three players inside out on the left wing before rocketing a bullet from just outside the left hand edge of the penalty area into the opposite top corner. Unstoppable!

Div 5
SPOC 6 Stirling 0
It was 1-0 at half time, when the heavens opened and we started playing water polo.
Best player for SPOC was Puddle, who dispossessed every Stirling player repeatedly and also intercepted nearly every pass.

Re: MOUNT BARKER SOCCER CLUB COACH 2010
Ed Berger did a great job at Stirling for the two years he was there (1995-96). Focused on skills & was excellent at encouraging and developing young players. IMO that was where Stirling's rise started. But he'd done his job by the end of the second year developing a core group of teenagers with...

Re: MOUNT BARKER SOCCER CLUB COACH 2010
Sounds like a tough gig, even with masses of juniors coming through.
But the right coach could create a lasting legacy if he stuck around for a few years.

Rolling subs in the C's:- I can understand a team rejecting rolling subs if they are playing with a bare 11 and the other team have 15 players. What bugs me is when both teams have 15 and they reject it because they want so desperately to win. It just means I don't get a game at all and you don't ge...

Stirling 6 Adelaide Uni (7th or 8th side or whatever) 0
The Uni boys were a great bunch. Started with 9 and finished with 10 players.
They never complained, whinged or b!tched the whole game.
Good luck to them for the rest of the season.

Div 5 Stirling 3 Pontian 2 Stirling failed to score a hatful of chances in the first 20 minutes. Pontian scored against the run of play with a header cleared from just behind the line. Re: BURUNDI EAGLES V ADELAIDE COUGARS
I wonder how many other teams with only a 4 point lead on the 3rd placed team halfway through the season would consider promotion a certainty? Talk about up themselves! Looking forward to a good laugh if Burundi win. Almost as good as when Vipers were done 5-1 by Iggies.

As much as I enjoy the Hawkesy baiting, one of his first comments was that they didn't have the personnel because their teams were all over the place. Seems reasonable to me. Its just shows a lack of class to deliberately bait the guy with personal comments, then turn around and blame him when he re...
