Re: how do clubs assist coaches
At club level, coaches come and go. How many current coaches can say they have coached at one club only for more than 5 years? I think the FFSA should provide a coaches forum to support coaches - at junior and senior level. The FFSA support referees; coaches need to interact with each other in a sim...

Re: W-League Trial Details
FYI - the Adelaide Sensation Squad for the Tasmania series in November 2007 was as follows. Bear in mind this squad was chosen to play a 5 state series until WA, Vic and ACT pulled out. GK's - L Trimboli, S McLaren Def - L Slater, E Weidenbach, C May, S Day, T Katianos, K Brock Mid - M Holmwood, D B...

Re: ZONE TRAILS
If you or your son is in the best 8-9 he will get in after that it gets very even and is very subjective with many influences. Being a talent identification program, if you are not in the best 8-9 from your zone you are a long way from the best 20 in the State anyway at this point. The best encoura...

Re: STICS?????????
Disappointing to hear - STIC is about identifying the next generation of State and National players. Please right to the FFSA if your experience has been bad - if it is verified then the FFSA will act. Hollygirl and Arsenal1122233 are absolutely correct. Ability alone won't be enough if the player i...

Re: Coaches - State Indentification Champs- please list here
Now back on topic! How are the trials going so far? It's run very differently compared to the boys STIC trials, however my daughter loved it and is very excited about the next one. Point of clarification. The way the trials are run is not a girls vs boys issue. It depends on the coach and their met...

Re: Italia v Romania
il duce You're probably right - Donadoni bringing on Ambrosini to save the draw; but that result doesn't leave Italy's fate in their own hands. That's what makes the change illogical IMO. According to the official score-line, Toni did not score. Otherwise we could include everyone else's disallowed ...

Re: Group C: Netherlands v France
Fantastic Match! The difference in Holland seems to be unity I think. So often in-fighting in the past, they self destructed during a tournament with arguably better players than they have now. But teams win tournaments (Maradona the exception). MVB I think has instilled an Italian defensive and mid...

Re: Italia v Romania
Just how many chances just Toni need to put one away? That's two games now and he has produced nothing. Vieri still more effective. Put Panucci up front even. How did Luca Toni score 29goals (or was it 39) in the Bundesliga Italy's persistent long ball tactic became rather predictable very quickly. ...

Re: Group C: Netherlands v italy
Like I said in the Italian thread before the tournament. How many chances did Di Natale and Toni have? They couldn't finish, The Netherlands could. Same can apply to both Switzerland and Austria really. Who is their reliable goal scorer and keep Panucci away from the defence. Referee was a fruitcake...

Re: Euro 2008 - Croatia set for Hungary test
Hungary 1 - 1 Croatia
N Kovac scored for both teams.
Croatia looked the better team overall I thought but without Eduardo they need to find a reliable goal scorer.
Hungary continue to progress under new coach Erwin Koeman

adebayor is stronger, and can shoot with more body parts rather than just his foot. he is more team minded than one man torres is I'd recommend that you check the catalogue of all goals by both players (on youtube) before repeating an incorrect statement. I define a poor season when a team performs below what they are capable of. Given the playing depth of the AC Milan squad coupled with their match demands for season 07-08 I don't think they could have achieved much more this time around. Maybe they were over confident given their poor start? It hap...

Re: Best Football Movies
"Born Kicking" seems to have it all. I can't seem to find it on DVD. The English First Division succeeds in rallying the FA to sign a female professional footballer. Filmed at QPR mainly, this film seems to have thought of everything * interfering owner who is cash strapped * manager vs ow...
