Re: Is it or isn't it?
So can anyone shed any light as to what is happening with the proposed league structure. I have read so much on here, discussed the plans with people associated with my son's club and am hearing some saying its a yes, and some saying it wont happen! Heard there was a vote to take place? Is that cor...

Re: Mad rush to Premier League clubs.
Heard a group of State league clubs are proposing establishing their own junior competition for their A/B sides and using the FFSA competition to field their second or third string sides. Talk of having two leagues that are graded. That way they dont have any of the restrictions imposed by the FFSA...

Re: Mad rush to Premier League clubs.
With the changes to the junior leagues all but assured (board will ratify next week), Premier League clubs are about to be swamped by parents/players who want to play in the super elite Junior competition. Although placements will be tight, most of the more successful and bigger clubs will be runn...

Re: I am not going to play football anymore
The proposal says nothing about getting rid of points and tables .... only about promotion/relegation (ie) follow your senior teams fixtures not so sure it says anything about following your teams fixtures either, only about aligning senior and junior comps. What is becoming very apparent is this c...

Re: Card checks - What do we think
we need compulsory card checks for every player before every game .Over aged players have been played against us at least 3 times this season in u14 (one team was caught red handed by ref after game ) and tonight we lost to a team we have played 3 times this season (1 friendly) who blatantly played...

Cant believe that the 17s league has been put in a shambles , with in 2 weeks , 1- Salisbury v para hills , - no referee shows up 2- white city forfeit to enfield . 3- para hills v Enfield no referee shows up , top off the table clash , everyone and ffsa knew that this round was to be played tonigh...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
So if our facilities allow more teams, and we have good coaches in place, we are going to tell kids that have been at our club for 6-7 years 'sorry, you need to go to a SL club to make them stronger, and we don't know if their coach is any good?cheap and nasty This is something we as a senior non a...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
Seeing as clubs have already set their fees for next year, have they taken into consideration that there will be 6 more home games per age group x6 age groups requiring 36 more referee fees But are the juniors actually going to be playing the same number of matches as the Seniors? The FFSA says one...

The words "I am not going to play football anymore" are the words ringing in a Metro Dad's ear. His son in the U15JSL team, currently second in their league, have just been informed that Metrostars JSL teams U14s and upwards will be scraped to preserve the senior pitch. Whilst I am all fo...

Re: results 1/9
Dumb question probably, but why is anyone interested in results of junior matches? If next season there is no points, no promotion, no relegation and no league ladder, presumably threads such as this one will be a thing of the past? And guess that means no league champions medals for junior players ...

We also have and need JSL teams
Why do you "need" JSL teams?
And you have no-fee academy for 11s and 12s players. What about 13s and older?

Matty, you keep saying how we (Raiders) don't have to worry, we're set, etc, etc But like I said previously, our juniors were a shambles 5-6 years ago When I started coaching 7 years ago, I had 6 players come to my trials, most teams had approx 10 players if they were lucky, our pitches were cow pa...
