Re: AUWFC Captain Quits Lady Reds
Ben, You didn't really expect Emma to come out and knock the club for being unprofessional. Emma is a professional athlete and is to smart to fall in that trap which may affect her credibility. She is not at all obligated to say or do a thing and she's even followed up with more kind words from her...

I am a disgruntle supporter who thinks the Adelaide United football club have not or will not take women's football seriously. I am disappointed that we continually...

Re: FFSA Bringing the game into disrepute
Ben, As you stated regarding Part "v. Football Federation SA in its sole and absolute discretion may in extenuating circumstances provide an exemption for a player to play who does not meet the above criteria." , I thought this particular part was not relevant as the individual player did ...

AUWFC Captain Quits Lady Reds
I am bitterly disappointed that Emma Checker has quit the lady reds and leaving for another W League Club. How can this happen. Emma is a great leader, great player and a wonderful person. This is going to leave a big gap to fill. What is going on at Adelaide United, this is now the 4th Captain in 5...

Re: FFSA Bringing the game into disrepute
Whether we accept this particular rule or not, the rule was incorporated for a reason. Some of you have indicated that it was ok that an exemption was granted. Where do you draw the line. What if another issue arises, is it ok for the FFSA to offer an exemption again. Where does it stop. Unfortunate...

Re: FFSA Bringing the game into disrepute
My comments were in no way of targeting the individual. This was to highlight how the FFSA can change the rules without being held to account. Just ask the other two clubs who were denied an exemption to a similiar issue.

FFSA Bringing the game into disrepute
FFSA shame on you. You should be held accountable for bringing the game in disrepute. Firstly, I would like to say that I am appalled and disgusted in the decision from the FFSA to allow an elite player to play in the reserves team in the finals having not met the eligibility of playing 6 games to ...

Re: Cup Final
Congrats to Adelaide City taking out the cup final. A fantastic effort to all the players. Unfortunately for West Adelaide it was a dismal effort after a great start in the 1st half with 3 shots on goals in the first 15 minutes then falling into a hole. I believe Adrain Santrac was out coached by An...

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
Sportsbird Sarah Willacy is injured, thought you said no one injured should get a contract? she is the exception?
Rightside, if she is injured then you are quite right to say that she should not obtain a contract. Because it is such a short season, the club cannot afford to carry injured players.

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
Paul Merson, Now back to my question, which players do you think should stay/go & why? (The question is about the players not Ivan) The players to be re-contracted as follows; Chelsie Dawber - had a great year in WNPL winning the golden boot and should go on with her form in the W League Emily C...

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
Well aware of that, I just tried to turn it into a football discussion but clearly from the response Sportsbird has no interest in that. Of course I am interest in discussions regarding WNPL and W League. I'm passionate about the women's game, played it, loved it. However, I am highlighting the fac...

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020
Out of interest, which locals missing out would you keep in? By the way I only speak GK's with Ivan so I'm not sure who's going if any. Paul Merson, I get the impression from your comment, "which locals missing out would you keep in?? is basically telling me that the players not listed are not...

Re: AUWFC season 2019-2020

It has been rumored that Ivan was not happy with some of the local players last season and will be introducing several new players. At this stage, contracts will be offered to 6-7 local players...

Re: WNPL Season 2019

They have the potential to unsettle some top teams in the four. Adelaide City should take out the final’...

Re: WNPL Relegation
Salisbury United pushing very hard to fill junior sides to fulfill the criteria and get promoted. Will be interesting what reasoning FFSA give if they don't promote them. Hi nathanburns15, Firstly, no need to jump the gun with Salisbury United filling the junior teams. Salisbury United will not be ...

Re: WNPL Relegation
Interesting discussion about relegation. If this was to occur then someone like the longstanding and respectable Cumberland should and would be very angry. I cannot blame them. They are a club with juniors, supporters and a long history vs NTC that has little in the way of a club and junior set up ...

WNPL Relegation
It is believed discussions have been held within the FFSA football dept that it will withdraw the relegation structure at the conclusion of the season should the NTC finish bottom of the ladder. The FFSA want's to avoid the embarrassment of the NTC development program being a failure, especially fol...

Nathan Burns
That is a ridiculous comment coming from you.
I do not have a vendetta against Ivan.
I just state my case as I see it.
I know him and find him a fantastic person but I feel he hasn't the qualities to coach women football.

Lucas Leiva
This was not about throwing our local players under the bus. It was about who actually performed at W League level this season.
I would be happy if you stated which player should be contracted for season 2019-2020.

Jim, great to see that you have taken an interest in this. The players have lost respect of the coach, they are confused...

Re: AUFC-W v Newcastle
Words cannot describe what I observed last night. This was an absolute disgrace and I do not hold the players fully responsible. The coach has to take most of the blame. The coach formulates his tactics, the coach selects his players, the coach creates his best formation. Well the coach has cost the...
