Mr Wenger won nothing as a player.
Mr Benitez won nothing as a player
MR Mourinho won nothing as a player
MR Ferguson won nothing as a player
The last x England managers won nothing as players.
The list is endless.

Re: Brendan Rogers
I don't see much wrong with what he said.
ALL managers at all levels need to be positive. I would have loved to have won a trophy recently.
Wenger will do it I know, but sadly Liverpool have won more than us (only last year), we can't knock them on that count.

Manager Longevity
My man Arsene is now the longest serving manager in the league.
What is worrying is each of the 91 other clubs have changed manager since we won a trophy!

But when the federal law comes in, will that effect Fox?
I don't like the amount of betting ads, so I hope it does get cut down.

Does it cover Pay TV?
Not sure how that will work, as adverts are national on Fox.
What did they do in France? Shirts weren't allowed alcohol branding on the front, but did French TV show games from overseas?

Re: 10 BEST players in world Football, right now!!
What criteria was used and what paper?
It's all subjective of course.
And because its' right now, Messi is injured and however good he is, others are better than him as he has only has one good leg.

Re: Chelski win Europa Cup Final
So he went from UEFA Cup, to European Cup, Super Cup and retained European Cup. For historians amongst us, the Super Cup was Liverpool v Hamburg, with Kevin Keegan returning to Liverpool with SV Hamburg...and they were thumped 6-0 with a McDermott hat trick.
Not a bad effort.

I don't know the dates, but did Bob Paisley achieve the feat in 1976 (UEFA) and 1977 (Euro Cup) with Liverpool.

Also that is not Fergie's words, just a journalists interpretation. Yeah I know, thats why I thought it a bit strange that you quoted that is if it was Fergie who said it. Bit naughty  And in no way does it say he was not in danger in that game. It' all history now, but he will be in debt to ...

This is probably the truth The speech he gave on the pitch at the end was unscripted and so not crafted by any spin doctor to perfectly frame the themes of this great modern football leave-taking. Instead, alone in front of 76,000 supporters waving Champions flags in the steepling stands, and the P...

And in no way does it say he was not in danger in that game. It' all history now, but he will be in debt to Robins during his drunk retirement. The most likely scenario is he would have got the sack, as they were struggling team going backwoods. The Arsenal and Liverpool were streets ahead of them t...

How old were you when Paisley was in charge? I think you only know Ferguson.
And what football did you see of his (Paisley)? I assume you were in Aus so relied on a clip here and there.
I grew up with Bertie Mee...another great man, I guess you haven't even heard of him.

2 points of interest here; Why did Motts fail at federation level? Explain how he failed? Is Motts the best coach in the Amateur League? Or is he coaching the best club in the Amateur League (With a budget bigger than most FFSA Clubs)? Maybe failed was the wrong term Salisbury were relegated when h...

Paisley played 42 games a season. 10% more than Ferguson in his league winning days, he won no champs in the longer format..

After Shanks had done all the hard work, then retired and left him in the box seat. I'm sure some Pool fans will disagree, but I can't think of one that I know who thinks Paisley was a better manager than Shanks. Paisley realised Shanks dream of a "Bastion of Invincibility" The only year ...

Not sure what you mean, We won the league in 1971 (The double), then in 1989, but we didn't play in CL until 1991 due to the ban, is that over quarter of a century?

Le King, why its it harder. Look at the 99 Comp, Man Utd won less than half of (I think) of their games!!!!! In the old format to win the whole thing you had to navigate through what, 5 rounds of knockout matches with the first rounds against Shamrock Rovers and Grasshoppers? Now, not only do you h...
