Re: Poor State of Junior Football
If the JPL is the benchmark of junior football in SA, then we may as well shut the doors and return the keys right now. Shocking first touch, can't play a decent pass over 10 yards, poor decision-making,no structure. And I'm not talking about the Under 12s. Some club technical directors should be ar...

Re: 2017 Junior Cup
seeding the majority of JPL clubs didn't really help the huge scorelines..........21-0, 19-0, 18-0, 15-0, 15-0, 15-1 etc Not sure how that seeding worked when some very strong teams were still scheduled to play round one. Seems the seeding was just a random list of JPL teams. The biggest scores wer...

Re: Under 17s fees
The club does not have the obligation to give the difference back but it will be fair to do so. I know the U18s coach very well for many years. He has refused to get involved with the politics and his selection, with the assistance of the club football director is based purely on performance. Unfor...

4.2 Players are not permitted to participate in the Junior Cup Competition if they have participated in a Senior Cup Competition, being the Under 18s, Reserves or WFFA Cup. Re: Movement of players in the Junior Cup
With the majority of JPL teams not included in the preliminary round of the cup, I wonder how many teams will be unaware of the ruling and field JPL players in JSL teams. I'm sure the FFSA will be licking their lips with all the level 2 fines if players then try and play again in round 1. What is t...

Re: Under 17s fees
What are your thoughts on clubs trialling for a 17s team for the season back in October 2017 and parents have paid their fees and the club had decided this year to pull the team from the competition due to lack of numbers, now kids are to play under 18s when fees are a third of the juniors and the c...

Re: Round 3 big results
Still getting big score lines. I only flicked through the JPL results and despite half of the fixtures being postponed there were still 12-0, 14-0, 16-2 etc.
Maybe the FFSA should look at this and make a decision to swap some weaker JPL with stronger JSL.

Re: The ugly side
I hope the FFSA sort the players disciplinary action out soon. It leaves the boys in limbo. Sure they’ve done the wrong thing in the heat of the moment but we are talking about 13 year old kids who want to get on with their football.

Re: U16c Jpl
Maybe one kicked an own goal. Just have to say it is a credit to Olympic to be able to get enough players to play u16 this year and be competitive as they had no feeding from last years 15 as they didn’t have a team in that age group. Most clubs at that age are struggling to find players and they w...
