Re: WNPL Finals

We still want to eliminate personality and passion form the game? ongoing joke or not Simon has obviously worked very hard for about a year to assemble the team, pre-season, trial games, copious hours on and off the pitch. And finish on top. Win the Cup and the Championship. Mate give the guy a brea...

Coaching Moves 2021/2022

One game left to go. Salisbury to do the job against westies. Simon C has done a great job this season and built upon the team Adrian S built and took into the WNPL only a short time ago. Should take a bow. The gap between Salisbury and the rest was significant. Only City was probably close in its r...

Re: Lisa De Vanna Unloads

Nuance or not, we need to look at this in balance. As always, the onus of proof is always upon the person making the claim. The organisation just sits back, spins away its obligations and remain ineffectual in its responses (or lack of). Lisa has no axe to grind other than being cut adrift without A...

Re: Lisa De Vanna Unloads

There's some anger out there guys. Twitter person VPeritus is unloading big time. How close is that person to the coal face? Junior Supporter is and has always been the apologist for the establishment: FFA, FSA, NTC, FC. Somewhat suspect that Junior is compromised or has a conflict of interest; if y...

Re: WNPL Finals

WOW to Salisbury. No one will come close to them.

Simon C has worked wonders with this team. Total team focus.

Interestingly, this brutal display was against the team the former SI coach now coaches at.

Re: Lisa De Vanna Unloads

I've read the unfolding story, ex players, and the VPeritus tweets. To say I'm floored is an understatement. Is it unexpected? Probably not. Were people removed or shunted out of the system because they were aware and probably questioned its existence? Maybe/possibly. In any case, like if a male was...

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel

Applauding mediocrity or the stave of execution? If you're crediting the club in its efforts to remain in the WNPL (pending the 2 leg play off) then you would need to do the opposite and criticise the club for being in that position many times over the years and because of luck (no relegation happen...

Its not the national womens game of cricket....so hence the hard attack. Lisa may be on the money here. She also recently unloaded in a podcast about how how she finished her time at the 'tildas. Needless to say, not a happy camper. What I would say, is that LDV won't back away from a direct and bit...

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel

Sad to see a hard working club relegated. The new club/team had better hit the ground running. Big (huge) step up to WNPL. Given Covid impacts across all facets of life/sport/work, I would have liked to have seen a stave off of relegation. Then again how would that encourage SL teams to develop the ...

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel

Interesting information....Looks like Fulham (sitting in relegation spot) are going down the trusted path of bringing Mr Fix it back again to stave off relegation. I understand it is to support the current coach however, as in past attempts, the coach goes and Mr Fix it goes in. Hence why I don't be...

Re: WNPL/WSL Pro/Rel

Not sure if there is or is not a relegation promotion for 2022. If there is, then I would like to voice my disapproval. Fulham at the very least has been a foundation club for women's football in SA and have the track record and structure (juniors and seniors) in place. While I agree they have ben s...

Re: W league player rule

And reward the incompetent teams/clubs and dissuade a player from continuing to play if she has to accept a spot with Fulham? The idiocy of ay such restriction is that the NTC continues to have a team in the WNPL at the expense of a club based team. That's the problem with the WNPL

WNPL performance to date

A few rounds have been played. The Cup games have commenced. Soooo what have we learned? Any surprises (good or not so good). Who's struggling and who's excelling. For me, City is, for obvious reasons, not having the start it has usually enjoyed. Metro stuttering. Westies and Salisbury looking most ...

Re: W league player rule

I think we should be welcoming the players back to the club of their choice. Not socially engineered by FSA rules that determines when a club meets its W League quota. Generally a home grown player can return to their club/ City over the years have had a decent W league quota and that most were home...

First up Congratulations to Dylan. Wonderful reward for hard work. Dylan over 20? 11/12 yo in a state program? And the connection on her development as a senior? Very little IMO. Am I a fool to. Don't think so. If there is a nexus then I'd say that from hereon we should see an avalanche of SA girls ...

Looking forward to another implosion at Westies. As certain as the sun shines. Uni and Fulham for me will make the climb up the ladder with one making it into the top 4. Comets and NTC to be towards the bottom. The ladder at the season's end will be: Metro City Salisbury Uni Westies Fulham NTC Comets

WNPL Season 2021

2021 should be an interesting year. New coaches. Coaches shifting teams. Player movements etc. always make the start of the year very exciting. Which teams will make the rise up the ladder. Dylan's opportunity is brilliant. Hopefully, the local players (young and older) can see that working hard at WNPL can present many opportunities. W League is a good stepping stone to getting your international career underway. Despite the publicity, you DO NOT need to go through the state's elite s...

Tracey has had previous issues with player dissent at Uni. She then departed. White City was the next port of call to assist in setting up their women's program. Yes I agree. It is a hard gig and many rarely stay the distance. I'm not mentioning the coaching changes as a point of "ha ha". It's a concern that reasonable people are leaving or being pushed out.

It's the time of year - sort of - where coaches from the WNPL move or or are escorted out the door. So far: Gone 1) Max P - sent packing from City. I keep hearing "Player power prevailed". 2) John Ebbs - Dismissed from Fulham with 3 games to go. Absurd Going? 3) Comets - Hanging in there b...
