Re: Junior trials discussion -
In the interest of fairness, I think that forum members who come on here, and mention other clubs by name for supposedely engaging in less than proper practices, should also state their club affiliation. Or members of said clubs could come on and confirm or deny that they approached juniors registe...

Always ready to jump on a Team GB bandwagon, finals here we come . By all accounts Tomic played smart European tennis and only tried in the sets he thought he had a chance of winning.

Re: Liverpool
i (genuinely) wish we had quality older players who would win games. This current set up we have (players and management) is the worst in my time of supporting the club, worse than Souness era. Really? worse than the likes of razor rudduck, paul stewart, julian dicks and (this is the best one) mich...

This is why the FFSA needs to get involved in grassroots, there needs to be at least 2 or 3 youth only leagues separate from seniors and similar in structure to E&D, get every kid possible playing football. When I was a kid we all had our local teams in local leagues, if you were asked or wanted...

Re: Rooney breaks Bobby Charlton's Goalscoring Record
One thing you have to remember is Charlton was a midfielder . Isn't that a bit misleading though? I thought he played as what my old man called an inside forward, much the like Rooney does today. Charlton was just before my time but many people speak highly of him and I'm fine with that, maybe he i...

Yeah pressure is on England being at home, semis apparently the least expected. Can't see them being good enough to win though. Ireland at 9 -1 well worth $20

Here's what he actually said so everyone can now make up there own minds. Pretty much what we have all been saying all along. Anderson denied that England captain Alastair Cook exerted undue influence on ground staff but said: “We should prepare pitches that suit us. We should have done it more in t...

Lol at reaction time. You do know these are trained highly professional athletes at the top level yeah? They had some pretty amazing reflexes, especially when it is a reflex action that they perform 10's of thousands of times in a career. Muscle memory is an amazing thing. Glad can we agree it was ...

Watching the footage at any speed you can clearly see he goes for the ball on purpose with his arm in order to stop it. He watches the ball until a split second before it hits his glove. How anyone could say he was just reacting needs to have an eye exam. If you are reacting to protect yourself you...

Re: Rooney breaks Bobby Charlton's Goalscoring Record
Lineker & Shearer played for generally decent managers who understood them and played to their strengths. Rooney is a victim of his own versatility and has had to endure the frustratingly defensive Eriksson and the truly dreadful mclaren & capello eras. Constantly misused and played as a uti...

Gillespie too seems to follow the current aussie line, no responsibility or accountability to the game for players or field umpires. No right or wrong, appeal for everything and send it all upstairs to some bloke in a dark room, let the replay sort it out. Forget about real life in real time, all ab...

Re: One dayers
That Ben Stokes decision was a disgrace. Smith, Stars and the 3rd umpire should be ashamed of themselves. Stokes is a cheat, the crowd are racist, and Morgan is a liar, and the umpires got it right, that's how i saw it, stokes reflexes are pretty good, here he is in action training before Thursday'...

Watson is the gift that keeps on giving, should he really be giving send offs with his record. Speaking of Australian knobs, I hear Warnie has been giving lessons in behaviour to Kyrgios.

So he thinks Coquelin has the maturity to carry us through the league, FA cup & European cup. He really believes Giroud is good enough to be our lead striker. I'm not for buying just for the sake of it but we are below par in these key positions and it should have been dealt with, we have the ca...

Clarke was a knob, a brat and a sore loser in all 4 of his trips to England even Trevor Bayliss now seems to agree. Can only assume he'll be an even bigger knob with his mate warnie in the commentary box

Re: Arsenal 2014/2015
Lots of schoolboy errors this morning, can't believe there were no goals when you consider both teams defences. Well there was one goal. Starting to look predictable in attack, mostly playing to Sanchez inside left and always through traffic. Good sides will have us sussed again
