Re: ASIAN CUP 2015
Kruse of course. I would like to see a player like brattan or maybe mooy get a chance. Juric too if he's in form. Im looking forward to seeing us play some good football I don't think holland, vidosic, Wilkinson, McKay will make it I felt McKay was one of our best v Spain. Very composed on the ball...

Re: Australia v Spain
As bad as Davidson may or may not have been today. I am just grateful that he played in these games instead of McKay or Carney.
He has all the ingredients to be twice the left back they ever were

Re: Average Aussies watching the Cup
Couldn't agree more. This is where we earn our non existent money explaining things to newcomers. I must have had 20 conversations about diving since the tournament started! It's even worse when you have spent some time playing in the state league getting crunched by some big dude and then you just ...

Re: Chile v Socceroos
Ange and the players have done everything they can and made a game of it. We obviously just don't have the quality. I think some of the lads have promising careers. But we are just not producing enough top players. It's a shame because if you had a couple more top class players in this squad, with t...

Re: OZ v Croatia on FoxSports2 at 8.30am on Sat. 7 June
Bresciano needs to play as much as possible. Oar looked decent again. Davidson looks better every time I see him. Defence looked ok too. Final 3rd a problem. Need to work out who should play on the right. I think when Bresciano is on and oar is on the left it doesn't matter as much. But when Oar is ...

Re: SOCCEROOS FINAL SQUAD OF 23
I'm pretty happy with what ange has done so far. Will be a very different vibe this world cup with almost no expectations. I'm glad it is with a younger squad. Shame about Kruse and Williams.
Big chance for Davidson and Oar etc. to prove themselves. Should be interesting

Re: Australia Starting 11
Has anyone noticed that some of the football we have already played under ange is as good as anything we have seen in the last couple of years. Also maybe consider that ange might know what he is doing. I think he's earned that. I've never wanted to believe Ange was a good coach but he orchestrated ...

Re: Australia Starting 11
You can't tell me that Ognenovski would not be an asset to the defence based on the injury issues and lack of quality available back there. Cahil in attack, Bresc/Mile in midfield, and Sasha in defence. Would mean an experienced leader in all three zones of the outfield. We were rubbish at defendin...

Re: Australia Starting 11
After tonight I would like to see Cahill Oar Bresciano Troisi Milligan Jedinak Davidson Spiranovic Wilkinson Franjic Ryan Some good signs. Leckie looked dangerous at times Not sold on Holland I think were in trouble no matter who plays but oh well nothing to lose. Need some luck. At least they look ...

It looks pretty open to me. Spain, Brazil, Germany, Belgium all look good.
I'll be putting a sneaky bet on Italy at $21 too!

Bresciano is our best player still btw
I really like brattan. But understand why he is not there given the system we will play

Re: tika taka is dead
In the press conference I'm pretty sure Pellegrini said playing style was just as important as winning the title. Top 2 teams in England played a pretty free flowing style. Whatever your preference may be. I think if you are going to play like Chelsea or central coast or whatever pragmatic style. Wi...
