Re: Footballers as authors

Ive read: Maradonna's...interesting...he really is deluded. Vinnie Jones...funny how none of it was ever his fault. and Jaap Stams, Roy Keane's, Michael Owen, Neil Ruddocks, Robbie Slaters, Pier Luigi Colina's and Beckhams. There are others that I cant be bothered thinking about at the moment. But t...

I agree there are plenty of donkeys around and a few from my lot...but he was an absolute nightmare. His blooper reel is twice as long as his highlights reel.

Agree...Reinaldo is a muppet. Unless he improves markedly he would be lucky to get another A-League gig.

Yeah...Madrid never go out and sign players under the noses of other clubs.

If he was an absolute superstar he would already be playing first team or atleast been assured that is where he is headed.

Time for Madrid to suck it up.

Re: Foul:The Book

Has anyone read this book by Andrew Jennings? It basically talks about the corruption in FIFA and how President Blatter has no accountability to anyone. It is obviously written with the aim of discrediting him...but it makes for a great read and afterwards you start to think about how our game is r...

Any other suggestions??? Tony Cascarino's autobiography is superb. A completely different perspective of how a footballers mind works. Garry Nelson - Left Foot Forward or Eamon Dumphy's - Only a game. Both good reads from the perspective of non superstar footballers. But if we're talking superstars...

Ask any Liverpool fan what title they most want...and anyone with any idea will tell you that it is the Premier League (we haven't won it since it became the premier league). So not starting Torres in a league game against a promoted team may have some logic...except that you start him and when you ...

As a general rule the boots which professionals wear are made from a mould of the foot which Nike, Adidas etc take regularly from players. They are also generally made with a better finish than mass produced boots for obvious reasons. True there are a lot of boots no longer made of leather, (persona...

Fox half time promo

I was watching the half time promo from this mornings Tottenham v Everton game and was quite impressed by what I saw. They had a section called Picks of the week - featuring all the best goals scored, Free Kicks - any goals scored from free kicks, Saves - quality saves made by keepers, Ouch - for an...

It was very good and whilst I didn't flick that much it was good to use just to keep updated on the scores.

I have also gotta say that the score board thing is also much better than it has been in recent years. Easy to read teams scores and stats. Not too much clutter on the screen either.

no way should australia get a world cup. You're not good enough and your facilities are not good enough. I have quite enjoyed his comments so far. He is not afraid to say what has happened and he clearly has an understanding of the game and surrounding issues. If anyone saw Neil Evan's when he first started he was absolutely awful, so if he keeps improving he will be a reasonable presenter.
