Re: Referees
More and more of the modest and fair play clubs from your competition have come across to our Federation, leaving behind only clubs with poor reputations, naturally as the pool remaining becomes dirtier the fitter officials also follow to our Federation. Pretty soon there will only be a few remaini...

Re: NEW SAASL Registration Process
Q. To the experience folk, with an understanding of the new SAASL computer system If a player has a suspension from last year ie yellow card accumulation/red card to be served this season, is that suspension implemented at rd 1 or from when the player is re-registered online ie during the week of r...

Re: Referees
That was an hour of my life ill never get back any details on what was said? 38 referees, so A grade games should be covered in best case scenario, but unlikely reserves/AR at all/much. Reduction of around 10 active referees from last year, around 26 member wise though down from ~70. Those who resp...

What's the point in taking evidence to the SAASL? Will they actually take some sort of action against the clubs playing Fed players? Will it ever stop? sierra stars were kicked out 2 years ago salisbury sharks forfeited one of the games they won to hand south coast title last year, the guy had play...

Won't happen. I'm not sure if the ref will actually put in an official report. Will prob just get 2 week and then play under someone elses name for those weeks If he doesn't put it in then he's putting other refs in danger. I can understand some refs not putting reds through for minor things where ...

Re: Cup Results May 6th/7th 2017
last year we beat div 2 and div 1 opposition in both cups being div 4 ourselves it was great motivation, losing to another div1 team only 2-0. this year although we are already knocked out, had two great games both against div 1 opposition, losing 4-2 in seniors (2 pens) and on pens in the reserves ...

what is div1 referee fee for first and reserves cup anyone recall? last time I looked div ref fees was $120, Res Cup has one fee $75 across all matches - don't both teams pay half each in SAASL ? yeah rules state costs are shared, just wanted to make sure had the right amounts ready for on the day :)

yeah i think the league wants to enter them, as they all have to be double checked anyway, i guess its a refreshing change, but the lag time that it will take them to enter them will again not be great to see golden boot etc.

Re: No more player passes
Player passes are a waste of time. Looking at the positive side, best decision the league has made in some time, will probably free someone up at the league to focus on other more important areas. Ask yourself when have the player passes ever been useful and do you think they can't be forged or tam...

I bet they'll rack up three or four of these games until the end of the season and then bring in some players from higher grades if they're in the mix for the premiership. Unsportsmanlike if you ask me. it is classed as unsportsmanlike conduct under the competition rules to do this when games are n...
