Re: Your favourite English player

There seems in the modern game a negative stigma attached to English players but personally Matthew Le Tissier was a freakin' genius.

Gerrard.

Re: Attention: Serie A supporters

Speaking of Slovenians or Eastern Europeans in general, I personally rate the footballing talents of Mirko Vucinic, he's quality. Anna Falchi, yeah fair enough. But Sabrina Ferilli she's packing some sweet hotness, plus who could forget her partial strip tease when Roma won the Scudetto in 2001. I h...

Also the Ultras may be violent but they do care about their club unlike some hooligans from other countries who are only there to smash the Cabernet out of people. Oh dear. Really you guys have to give this a rest. It's utterly ridiculous some of the comments I'm reading, such school yard stuff. Lets be adults and enjoy the sport on a competitive level without the underhand swipes (Hillsborough etc.).

Re: What the Juventini think of the English

Actually without England, Juventus probably would not have acquired their iconic black and white strips. "Juventus asked one of their team members, Englishman John Savage, if he had any contacts in England who could supply new shirts in a colour that would better withstand the elements. He had ...

Re: Liverpool v Newcastle

Torres is just so damn slick man. After getting that through-ball from Gerrard, rather than hit it first time, Fernando fakes his shot to make the keeper go to ground. Therefore whilst the ball rolls past him, he easily smashes it into an open goal. That's just cool, calm and collected class. p.s. B...

Well done Roma, they really did the business against Real and got through, awesome result! Aqualani's shots were awesome, too bad the woodwork and Casillas stopped those pile drivers. I was also impressed with Vucinic, he added some drive going forward.

People who say that, "Italian football is boring" really have no idea.

On Kevin Keegan, I felt it was the wrong move appointing him and so far the results have indicated this to be true.

In response to the original question I believe "ronnie" delivers an adequate answer. I think when it comes down to it, Liverpool were the much better team on the night, and this had little to do with the sending off. Liverpool dominated the match early, and the early tactics of getting at ...
