Re: Interchange?

Had an official for our Div 7. This ref said no interchange and this came from the SAASRA. I contacted Steve Gregan to clarify. He explained that the rule of no interchange came from the league. So we need to make sure the league informs the ref about this. is Div 7 an official C team division anyw...

Why is club survival dependent on staying in Div 1?

Do you have a lot of guys that are only there for the prestige of playing Div 1 Sundays?

I believe that 'Headman Dadzie' from Strikers & 'Dadzie Headman' from Sierra Stars are both due at HQ sometime today to prove they are two people that look identical because the photo on SAASL file is the exact same photo for Strikers. Not to mention all the other players that are two people wi...

Agreed, I also don't like keepers lashing out or barging into players who run across their line (but don't make contact), refs in amateurs let a lot of this stuff go.

Re: Interchange?

I don't think too many teams in the higher divisions would risk As and Bs players in a Cs game just to win. I think interchange in the Cs is fine, it allows everyone to get more of a game, especially with those players probably not being good enough to play As and Bs (at this stage anyway) One coul...

Re: Has the standard of U18's gone backwards

Thats not what ive suggested at all. So the U18's players should be 15-16 years old? Why not call the league U17's? Oh, because then clubs would be playing 16-17 year olds and that wouldn't be right. Yes, they should be 15-16 years old. And they should be the BEST 15-16 year olds at the club...

need a builder for that, new brickwork. You do wonder if that result, coupled with the likely loss of Sterling, will be the final nail in Brendan's coffin. One can only hope. I would like to know too. Because the referee made the decision to abandon the game :D Interesting. If this involved a team from "middle eastern" or "Albanian" backgrounds, people would be calling for their heads and we'd be on page 15 by now. But lets sweep it under the carpet ...
