Re: 2018 Women's State League Structure

A few clubs in State League without juniors though - Salisbury United, Para Hills Knights and Western Strikers, so Flinders could definetly jump into State League and build junior girls just as quickly as the other clubs in there if they wanted to. Flinders are in a better position then SU, PHK and ...

Re: WNPL Fixtures

I find it odd they aren't in a consecutive order this year, you don't play the same clubs in the same order. Metro have uni, city, cumby, Fulham, inter, westies, FFSA second time round its uni, city, cumby, Fulham, ffsa, inter, westies, then cumby again? Do other competitions at this level do that s...

Re: WNPL Season 2018

Has Adelaide City's coach been confirmed? A few coaches in the WNPL 2018 doing their first year at that level, John Ebbs at Fulham, Lewis at Inter and Kosta at Uni, a good opportunity for all of them, and best of all the coaches they are taking over haven't left the WNPL completely with Max still as...

Re: FFSA Awards Night 2017

Westies finish top with an incredible season 5th to 1st. Coach Kevin McCormack wins "Coach of the Yea" (well done) and they can only manage 2 in the team of the year with Sarah in goals and Nicole T up front. City has 5 and Metro 1 and Uni 2. Any comments? Also 1 from Campbelltown - Kelse...

New clubs

Someone was telling me last night Olympic are starting a women's team next year? Seems to be quite a few clubs keen to join the womens comp next year

White City
Noarlunga/Sth United
Northern Demons

Any others?

CUP FINAL

Thought numbers were great Friday night at the Parks for the Cup Final especially given the weather. Both good, close exciting games that could have gone either way for the clubs involved.

Didn't catch the Sunday games unfortunately but hope they had good numbers and matches.

Re: WLeague Coach

To be fair our past assistants haven't come out of WNPL coaches either. Simon Catanzaro did it for two years and hasn't coached WNPL or State women or girls to my knowledge Paul Pezos at the time hadn't coached WNPL either They were both very good in the Assistant role I thought. I think Michael wil...

Congratulations to West Adelaide Hellas! Getting it done on goal difference, unbelievably close top 4. Bring on the final series!

Lots of clubs starting womens teams next year but doesn't mean they can just walk into state league. Croydon were the exception this year but i think FFSA have learnt their lesson there (i hope)

WNPL

Just one round to go, who will finish league leaders?

City - they beat Metro or draw with Metro (goal difference will get them through)

West Adelaide - Metro beat City, West Adelaide beat Cumby

Metro - they beat City, Cumby beat or draw with West Adelaide

anything is possible!

Any predictions?

Re: Adelaide United looking for a new home for W league

If United move W-league away from Parks to Marden i'm sure FFSA/Carter would be keen to pull the WNPL deal at the Parks/Shores as the reasoning of getting the girls playing on a good surface and used to artificial for the W-league season then becomes irrelevant

Re: Adelaide United WFC Coaches

Whether PP or KM get appointed (either way not fussed), then the successful appointee must quit as a WNPL coach at the end of the current season. It would be a totally unfair competitive advantage in terms of player recruitment if one was to coach a WNPL at the same time. All the best talent aspiri...

Re: CUP Round 2

That is great to hear juniorsupporter, its what we want for the comp, and a big week for Comets and South. Disappointing to hear Campbelltown don't have their two miniroos team which is part of the WNPL criteria (both their U7s and U11s apparently don't exist) when Comets already have two miniroos t...

Good to see Croydon having some more competitive games recently, para hills and stirling. Reserves still a white wash unfortunately, but have to hand it to the girls for coming out each week and persisting.

Fulham 2-1 Cumby - Match of the round in my opinion - this is going to be a tough game!
