It doesn't but you've made your point scoring 20 goals, no need to take the piss.
Question: Did the GK score while still playing in goal? or did he swap positions and play an outfield role and then score?

Re: U18s JSL competition

Some peoples opinions are if you are not playing 18's, after 16's, the player is going to struggle to make senior, reserves and so on. This is not mine, I have my thoughts and opinions, I'm just seeing what you all think. IF kids are coached properly between the ages of 11-16, then i believe this i...

Re: Junior trials discussion -

if you want to play football, then amateurs is the pathway (social). if you want to be a footballer, then federation is the pathway (elite). surely your having a laugh. plenty of federation footballers playing state league wouldn't get a look in at the stronger amateur clubs. So your classifying Ga...

Re: Junior trials discussion -

Well said "Messenger" you hae hit the nail on the head! If their so called development program was so good they wouldn't be needing to approach any other club for players because they would have all the best players already!!! But no they come knocking on the door of other clubs best players trying...

Re: Junior trials discussion -

Raiders is hardly the model club for junior development when they resort to targetting good players from other clubs and then send them an invitation to trial. An "invitation." Really? Let's just call it for what it is. Poaching. For a club with highly credentialed coaches, it's a shame they don't ...

Re: Junior trials discussion -

This is why the FFSA needs to get involved in grassroots, there needs to be at least 2 or 3 youth only leagues separate from seniors and similar in structure to E&D, get every kid possible playing football. When I was a kid we all had our local teams in local leagues, if you were asked or wanted to...

Re: Best Junior Coach

Most of the good coaches are in fact good coaches but in reality have good players. Take those same successful coaches and drop em in the smaller clubs who don't attract players and before long those 'good' coaches don't look so good anymore! In theory, i agree. Especially coaches who judge themsel...

Re: Best Junior Coach

Some of the worst coaching i've seen has come from Adelaide City junior coaches. what examples, not names or age groups, but styles of what is being offered on display? i very much dislike coaching against Adelaide City. The game is never played in the right spirit, there is an obsession with winni...

Re: Good Coaching Bad Coaching

Just an observation: Some of the best coaches I have had and know are teachers with a football background. Something common among them all is they never told me to go about one way of doing something. T hey challenged me by asking questions and forced me to think. this is what most coaches fail to ...

Re: Good Coaching Bad Coaching

I think you have to remember that clubs are generally run by volunteers and most clubs cannot afford a Technical Director nor have paid coaches. Obviously it is not pointed out to coaches at the grass roots certificate that two coaches should not be on the pitch as if it was then I am sure we would...

No its not! Even in the very early days one of the powers that be didn't even adhere to that rule with their own child and that's by someone telling everyone else they should do it. Just like in U6 & 7 age groups we still see 2 coaches on the pitch even to this day. it should not be happening but e...

Re: Good Coaching Bad Coaching

So for example you have 2 players out of 10 that have the say 90% of the ball when they on the pitch (they are all on 80% for equal game time). Then the other 8 have to struggle with each other to get a chance for possession in the other 20% of the game when the other 2 players are not on the pitch...

The problem with allowing kids to hog the ball is its the same kids who hold onto the ball the whole game! No other kids gets to touch the ball. So great for the hogs, not great for the other kids. The whole point of SSG is for kids to get more touches of the ball. There needs to be some balance an...

I was very impressed with the quality of play, very few "long ball" play and when it was played lon...

Re: Minimum Goal Keeper height in FFA

Personally, GK is a position that puts a huge emphasis on physical assets. Our elite training programs are there to produce "professional footballers". So if they're taking in 2 GKs per age group, they're going to aim for the best two that meet the criteria of professional GKs - which is most cases...
