Re: Which club told their kids not too wear club guernsey

Forums are for discussion and education are they not ? all I know of the northern zone SAP trials consists my experience of a couple of weeks ago at Burton and a few stories from past participants. I posted on this topic hoping to educate myself more about the Raiders issue as like any parent I wan...

Re: Which club told their kids not too wear club guernsey

Pre conceived ideas of who they'd pick. Wasted everyone else's time. My nephew is disillusioned when he sees some of the kids who got picked ahead. Rich messing up. Poor messed up. Dumped on the office staff too. No team players here. Every kid for themselves. pre-conceived ideas? besides the 3-4 p...

Re: Which club told their kids not too wear club guernsey

pre-conceived ideas? besides the 3-4 players from my club, i had no idea who any player was out there. Its a skill acquisition program. The idea isn't to pick 'team players' but to develop individual skill. kids were assessed on the 4 basic core skills, and "flair" players normally possess higher t...

Re: JPL POSITIONS AVAILABLE AT ENFIELD CITY SC.

You are not a big fan of Enfield because of what happened this year or because of previous to this year? and why? I would really like to know, thanks. just always had run ins when ever Ive played against Enfield as a player and a coach. You get clubs like that, i could say the same for a few others.

to be honest Jett, im not Enfield's biggest fan, but i do care about the kids and another club means the chance for another 150-200 kids to play football. People can have vendetta's against a club all they like, but in the end, we need all our clubs for the kids.

Re: JPL POSITIONS AVAILABLE AT ENFIELD CITY SC.

790 views on this site a lot of interest, where are the players? theres certainly some players out there without a club. speaking to Enfield parents/players who have made the move to my club, their main concern was stability. So much upheaval and turmoil at the club this season, i think its put alo...

Re: Best Junior Coach

any coach that takes a player, no matter their level of ability, and develops them is a good coach in my opinion. I read a lot about "this coach won this" and "this coach produced X amount of first team players" but a lot of that also relies on 'un-coachable' attributes like determination and desire...

Re: FFSA Skill Acquisition Program and Development Pathway 1

At Socerroo level , you lose 6-0 , and you get the sack. Are we expected to believe that playing from the back and losing 6-0 is a preference in junior divisions. Give me a break! this is the reason we're developing playing from the back. 95% of those socceroos were educated in a time when the game...

Re: FFSA Skill Acquisition Program and Development Pathway 1

I thought the quality was really good. Enjoyed watching the kids play. Good to see kids at a young age have such good foundations in the 4 core skills. Weather wasn't the greatest the first few nights, but the kids were tremendous.

Re: Are we still falling behind

There are a few schools around Adelaide now having Football as a subject, black friars, PAC, Norwood high, and a few others. My daughters primary school does it for year 4 up. Whats the standard like of the teaching? are these teachers required to have FFSA accreditations? do they utilise the curri...

Re: National age championships and player development

Never said to woof the ball long, don't approve of that. Need to teach kids the third pass must cross the half way line on the ground to a flanker or attacker, not from Gk to left back , back to GK , the to right back then back to GK who gives it to a midfield under pressure(who never wanted it) ba...

Re: National age championships and player development

The idea is the keeper needs to help secure first possession for the team by finding a teammate from a goal-kick or open play rather than just boot it long and hope for the best. No doubt if the keeper is under pressure from an opponent near the ball then would clear the ball to safety/long and reg...

A friend of mine has a son in the 13s skillaroos team that recently played the national championships in Coffs Harbour. So one day, all teams will be "programmed" to play this tika-taka fantasy and then one day, along will come a new expert who will prove, "lob it long, and score quicker". Love the possession game, but ffs, the beauty of the game are tactics, sussing out the opposition, their weaknesses and ADAPTING...

Let's do it the other way. Raiders have started good junior development. Croydon I think might be on the right path. Metros, Campbelltown, Comets on their way... The rest, I don't know?
