Re: 2017 Trials - Junior Playing Fees

I guess the fee is what it is...I think the real test is to compare the fee with other sports but be careful to compare apples with apples. To me one of the big issues at this time of year is the game that clubs are playing with regards to the timing of trials and payments of these fees. Many clubs...

Re: 2017 Trials - Junior Playing Fees

Affordability is a big issue for parents who want their kids to play football at an FFSA club however my only reason for raising this topic is to encourage full disclosure by clubs when promoting their trials through this forum or via their website. But there is affordability. You mentioned Modbury...

Options people, options. Private school costs different to public schools. Swimming class costs vary at different centres, due to their There is never going to be a flat rate across the board, you are going to have different levels of pricing. But there is an option. Play at Fulham for $700 or play...

Fulham & Sturt charge half the price of clubs in the east for U8's and also $200-300 less for older age groups.

How can there be such a difference?
Modbury is cheaper too. They appear to have the lowest junior fees overall.

2017 Trials - Junior Playing Fees

Clubs should be more proactive when advertising their junior trials to also indicate what their playing fees are. This is basic information parents need to know before taking their kids out to trial. If they can't afford $995 for their 7 year old to play at Campbelltown City then they know this up f...

I don't know how many times JD has to be told, I have given detailed costings to him twice and others have done the same, but times have changed since he was a kid. Back then the kids shirts (and sometimes even shorts & socks) were handed down year after year until they fell to bits, even the senio...

Here we go again... Play football for most year around 3 times a week for say $800 inc uniform. Or do swimming lessons for $210 a term for 30mins a week with no uniform. So $840 a year for probably 100+ hours less Or play basketball - 2 seasons per year. $550 each season. Plus compulsory uniforms. ...

Once they move to the full sized pitch (under 12's) I believe they should be able to accept that football is a form based game. A kid might be missed during the season and only selected for JSL, should he have to play the lower level all season? Kids need to realise that things aren't given to you ...

With the amount of young talented players that's out there and the lack of clubs that aren't to filling U17's teams, why doesn't the FFSA have an U18s JSL competition? Simple really. Under 18s is classed as Seniors, therefore JSL does not apply. It's not viewed as a junior competition and with 30+ ...

This is why the FFSA needs to get involved in grassroots, there needs to be at least 2 or 3 youth only leagues separate from seniors and similar in structure to E&D, get every kid possible playing football.
