Hopefully next year they do it at the end of season as a round robin. Maybe CSL were in the same position but I know both Saturday and Sunday had player availablity issues, as players were either away or focused on winning their leagues.
no rostrevor players so guessing yes

Re: Shortage of players?
Surely there should be a cut off date where you need to be able to prove you can field a reserve side in trial games or the league makes the decision for you to be flicked to the lower leagues.

Re: Season 2020
with FFSA press release today Community football can start June 19 that gives an extra 2 weeks. If this allows for a 16 week rather than 14 week then only 2 midweek catch up games are required. Surely a real season can be had. Heard today of a non competitive season without promotion etc. This would...

Re: Season 2020
Being a football family and all in these extraordinary times, the ffsa should generously donate their plastic pitches and other facilities for use for clubs that will lose their grounds to cricket & athletics. Can fit a good number of games per day on plastic. i'm sure modbury, modbury vista,me...

Re: Season 2020
18 rounds , no cup, no catch up weekends, (if catch ups required due to potential promotion/relegation/league champs etc play midweek. Plenty of grounds with lighting these days ,negotiate with clubs to allow midweek) If clubs share with cricket clubs they should inform SAASL and they play home game...

Re: Another higher division side defects
Interesting trend where teams who don't quite make it then move to the State League, doesn't look like the teams that have done this have moved forward much but they were by definition going backwards so didn't have much to lose Comets - top 4 NPL Metro Stars - NPL Fulham - State League 1 Modbury V...

Another higher division side defects
Pontian Eagles have moved across to the FFSA.
Will they try and keep SAASL?
Looks like 3 up from lower divisions.

one of their greatest wins?
I'm thinking the best win ever by a SAASL side?
Not sure if anyone has ever made the semi final of federation cup? Inter may have made a quarters? also the Cove when they were amateurs.

Do you mean Downs ins or Brahma outs ?? Noticed Downs were still without Allotey, Lawley and Aldridge. Brahma's keeper pulled off some cracking saves, apart from Pudler, who else was out for Brahma ? Anthony Hartnell and Jairius Brennan also for the Downs + new signing Truscott Is that Bailey Trusc...

Re: Dark Day for Vista
There is one reason there will be a SL3. MONEY. Mr Carter would be hoping to continually entice clubs across until they have hold of everything. With the success of SAASL teams that have gone across to FFSA i would think given the opportunity their would be more clubs in the future keen especially a...

Re: SATURDAY PROVISONAL LEAGUE STRUCTURE
At the end of the day from my understanding it was communicated. Whilst it might be harsh, this is for the better of the league and hopefully we can eventually move to 3 x 10. By comnunication do you mean email sent out stating what division teams are in? Because there was no communication ...

Re: Dark Day for Vista
top half of SL2 is fine and would be competitive with the top few amateur sides. There is a bit of a gulf towards the bottom tho.
saasl may drop back a bit this year with all the defections to SL teams.
Vista will get better over time.
Not sure about some other SL2 sides tho.
