Re: Raptors Pre season
Congratulations on the club turning 25 years this year . Big Friday night ahead and look forward to catching up with all the people that made and still make this club one of the best in the amateur league. Well done to all involved on this milestone.

Re: SAP ?
I think scouting talent can be done better .....its all about which club and coaches have alignments with the current FFSA coaches. Ive been coaching for close to 10 years and in that time I have seen the merry go around with favoured clubs and coaches..first it was Adelaide City , Then Raiders Then...

Re: Adelaide City sack junior coach
The first generation to come through the small sided mini roos curriculum are now turning 16/17 years old......
Id like to see the FFSA and FFA focus on training centres for u/6's- u/11's and leave 12-16's to clubs.

Re: Age group in 2 year gaps JPL/JSL
Ikon I agree with your first 2 paragraphs. The issue is for the 4 good players that could plausibly play in the jpl but for whatever reasons don’t get to or aren’t quite there yet. Those 4 kids try to carry the jsl team but lose faith when they are playing with a bunch of kids who are of a lower st...

Big game that 1. Think Metros run in the cup and league for that team will finally come to an end especially with the Sayee brothers no longer in that team.[/quote] Both teams are very different this year ....and its not about the 2 players mentioned at Metro. Feel sorry for those kids the past few ...

Re: Age group in 2 year gaps JPL/JSL
very good topic, Ive seen JSL teams being used in a variety of ways- At my club a couple of years back we used it a development team in a u/14JSL league but the whole team was eligible for u/13's- It allowed us to develop 13's in a JPLB league and 13's in a u/14JSL league and seemed to work ok. Ive ...

Scrap JSL and just make it all JPL Division A, B, C, D, E, etc Promote and relegate on ability/performance. There are not that many JSL divisions. Scrap JSL and just make it all JPL Division A, B, C, D, E, etc Don't mind that idea gets rid of the stigma with JSL that so many people are worried abou...

Re: Round 3 big results
totally agree I'm sure they will look to move teams around , but clubs need to take responsibility as well. You would know before Christmas if a particular age group may be struggling for numbers and put them in JPLC if need be, sadly some clubs think they can attract players by staying in a higher ...

I love this time of the year ....with the new batch of u/12's and 13's ...its all about JPL...lol in this age group you start to see which kids really love the game and which ones just like the game....this will determine everything moving forwards. Enjoy the season , do what you can for your club ,...

Re: Cup round.....
The cup draw is simply luck of the draw. I do think its sometimes beneficial for JSL clubs to play JPL and see what all the fuss is about ....sometimes a reality that 3-4 times a week training actually pays off and sometimes highlights how JPLA teams perhaps shouldn't be there. Coaches really need t...

new batch of skillaroos and new batch of parents going through the system. Fact is only around 30 kids can be taken into the program at u/13's - is that right?- Skillaroos and Shadow? you certainly don't coach juniors for the money..........most coaches I know get some gear , perhaps their kids fees waived( if they have any), perhaps a course paid for or subsidised and maybe some phone $$....2k is way off the mark. for 5K i would be expecting quite a few sessions to be conducted ...

Always a fun tournament for the kids and something to remember playing in . As a club coach I encourage it as its a different dynamic for the kids and they get to mix with other kids from other clubs. I managed to get out to 3 days and watch some games and overall you can see teams trying to play fo...
