Re: Challenge Cup
Not a new format at all. Has been like this for the 10+ years I've been playing amateur football. Div 1 and 2 clubs never had their first cup game until after round 4 or 5 in the league.

Totally depends on what the club wishes to charge players. Would vary from say around $160 and may be as high as $250. I pay $150 and we receive a polo, jacket and socks for both home and away.

Could also look at playing mid week games, so 2 games a week to get all 18 games in and not have to play too late into the year. Start mid June could play 18 games (no cup) by early October.

I don't think so. It makes it easy for the teams involved to not have to organise pre season games. Heat plays a factor but its not the end of the world to re schedule mid week evening games if need be.

Pitbulls are a quality team and deserve to go to Div 2. The other 3 you could throw a blanket over When was the last time Murray Bridge would have been in the 1st Division if they get promoted? having two games at same time is complete rubbish and makes them less important a few years ago they were at oakden on grass and then moved to para hills ground that was a brilliant day of football now it is just like a production line of get it over with and no one cares Agree with that. What's the go with players receiving a 2nd red card for the season and only serving 1 game still? Surely if someone is sent off even for 2 yellow card offenses that should result in a 2 game ban and so on .. ie 3 red cards 3 game suspension. Shouldn't each and every incident be judged on its own me...

Anyone know why there are 3 Friday games this week? Understand the Downs will want a few days recovery before the FFA cup semi final.
