Re: Elizabeth Downs v Ingle Farm

RT here - I quit midweek due to work commitments, some risk of doing the knee again and travel from my house is over 40 mins...both ways! Having said this, the Downs are an awesome club I hope they can get up again this year.

Go you downs!

RT here - I've been slack in the last few weeks cos the lads have been doing so well - back to back winners is on the cards. The downs have been by my side through the injury & I'm getting close to be fully fit now but there's no point playing this year when the squad is close to winning the league....

RT here, the leg is feeling great, i've done heaps of re-hab on it but it's still early days. As long as the downs win this year & I get to the end of the season in one peice then all is good. By next season I should be back to top gear, but for now I'll just make do with what I've got. Catchya arou...

I play for the Downs, & used to play for Parafield. I have to say that Barry is a fantastic coach & an even better bloke.

Say what you like about Parafield, just don't bring down such a top character in Barry! The amateur league is lucky to have someone like him involved...

RT here - the knee is stronger than before the injury due to all the weights & running for rehab etc. Would be ready to start the season but I'm off to the Uk & Malaysia for my honeymoon soon (no - it won't make me a soft touch!) & I plan to keep up the running when the missus lets me out of her sig...

I'm due for surgery next wednesday so hopefully all goes well based on the stories you guys have been through...

Dr Menz @ sportsmed is my surgeon, any news on him? He is apparently one of three surgeons contracted to the SANFL for knee re-cons so my fingers are crossed that he is good :?

Just to clarify a few posts: It wasn't from a dirty tackle, I hurt it earlier in the game & then when I jumped for a header in the second half it went... the pai...

The key to the Downs success is that everyone involved at the club, be it volunteers, coaches, players & fans are always prepared to put in 100% to take the club forward. This is my first of many years to come at the Downs, and I'm blown away by the positive atmosphere they have. Perhaps other clubs...
