Re: New Junior Structure 2014

Matty 2323 I understand what you are saying, especially about kids playing at their optimum level. However unfortunately senior teams are not able to attract decent crowds no matter how good their team is or what league they are in. Why is it that many people don’t go to watch? I believe it is beca...

Re: Under 15's - JPL 2012

With the change in the structure of the leagues next season, will players from the under 18’s be allowed to drop to the 16’s?

If not this will have a big impact on how the 16’s league pans out, especially for Croydon, as they readily admit they constantly move kids up and down to different teams.

Re: U14 JPL League table error?

If you presume 2 will be relegated - could be 1 or 3? Maybe only 1 promoted from U14Bs? Never know how the 15As will be balanced in 2013. Does anyone know how U14A to U15A will work? I am assuming the skillaroo team from 2012 U14 will dispand and players return to their home clubs, while a new squa...

He has been replaced, its not official yet as far as I know. The 18's coach next year is Nenad Sosa, who is a gentleman. He has coached the U/15's team for the last 5/6 years.

The report states a similar "near disaster" event could have happen at Hillsborough in 1981, and subsequent ground modifications actually increased dangers. There were further problems in 1987 and 1988. Ultimately, the risks were known and tragedy was forseeable Nearly happened in 1985 in...

In the bad old days when clubs had a team in A’ and a team in B’S, certain clubs tried to dominate leagues by playing their strongest teams across divisions in crucial games to win leagues or avoid relegation. This was done so as to give the impression that the club was the BEST club in town, they c...

Re: The Power and Influence of Big Clubs on FFSA.

Playing under lights might be fun, it might need to be done for catch up games, but the fixture schedule should not be rearranged to suit one club because they don't have enough pitches. One kid who was due to play on Friday night lives in Kapunda and won't get home before midnight I would imagine. ...

Honest reply; As a parent of a child that is in the Skillaroos I would like to make a couple of observations 1)I agree with the sentiment about kids leaving their club for a year and then having to look to get back to their old team or find another. This was my biggest concern and is not ideal. 2)Th...

Re: FFSA format for U15 Man U Cup Tournament

Croydon complained before the tournament regarding the format. As a parent of a Raiders player, I believe the format was a shambles. Not because Raiders lost, but they had to play 5 ‘cup finals’ in 3 days in intensive heat. One of the mums told me that her son had to miss school yesterday due to mus...

Re: Manchester United Cup 2012

Why is it such an issue the groups? You have to beat any team to win the tournament so does it matter if you play them in the group or at the semi final stage. That is absolutely correct. The only issue I see is that in a competition that is held over 2/3 days in hot conditions, if you are in a com...
