Re: pre-season training

there is a junior club training u12s and older 3 times per week and includes beach running Beach run for under 12's  Surely this time should be spent with soccer balls at their feet to further develop skills, they are U12's and shouldn't be unfit ?? Simple stuff really, let kids play footbal...

5-3 Olympic's way. I'm guessing the 4th Sturt scorer may have been an own goal?

Re: U16c Jpl

Maybe one kicked an own goal. Just have to say it is a credit to Olympic to be able to get enough players to play u16 this year and be competitive as they had no feeding from last years 15 as they didn’t have a team in that age group. Most clubs at that age are struggling to find players and they w...

Re: U16c Jpl

Wow wrong tops? Maybe some non registered players on the team. In the end does anyone know the correct score? I know the coach of that team and also the Junior Director and I can tell you they would not allow unregistered players to play ..so you can put that one to bed. Correct. No ineligible play...

Re: Round 3 big results

I did have sympathy for the lads - read back. If Seaford or Noarlunga had to come and play our 14's last year at 8pm on a Wednesday night then the next day found out that the game was all for nothing then I'd have some sympathy for them too...sounds more like a lack of planning and thought process ...

Re: Round 3 big results

You have an awesome squad......with some that you have I was surprised you were able to keep a score of 20:0 considering what your players did to Cobras earlier. I guess the main point of all this is that there are a few teams out in the Junior Divisions who are getting smashed, might not be gettin...

Re: Round 3 big results

Gareth???? Calm your farm..... West Adelaide DID get their 8pm wednesday night match put off until a more reasonable time could be agreed to. Perhaps the Olympic management or junior coaching director contact ffsa and playford prior to the game to put it off. There is a game on 31st may (wed 8pm) a...

Re: Round 3 big results

looks like Playford have been moved from U14 JPL Pool B.....now there's byes all over the place......... But good that the FFSA have moved them like they did with Strikers last year. Would have been handy if they'd realised Playford were not good enough before we had to travel up there for an 8pm k...

Re: Round 3 big results
Seeing as you know so much about the subject then. Perhaps you could tell me when the FFSA had their meeting to discuss this? What was their criteria for making the decision?
Haha this could go on right?! So if you were the governing body, a team has handed in a request to be droppe...

Re: Round 3 big results

Why bother joining a discussion when you clearly don't know anything about the topic (or perhaps reading some of the previous posts might help)? Why do you keep saying Playford should forfeit? Nobody has suggested that...and yes (most of) my kids did hate playing on Wednesday as they knew the very ...

Re: Round 3 big results
It was clear at -93 after 6 games and a request from the team to be dropped that they were going so why force a team to play a mid-week game a fair distance from home on a school night? Would it have not been sensible (as I assume they already knew they were going) to have postponed the gam...

Re: Round 3 big results

So judging by what you are saying they should still be in the league? Why not give them another chance to improve? It was clear at -93 after 6 games and a request from the team to be dropped that they were going so why force a team to play a mid-week game a fair distance from home on a school night...

Re: Round 3 big results

Judging by the Playford team last night (I could be wrong) most of them didn't look old enough to play Under 14's and I suspect a few came from the Under 12's game before hand. Interestingly though they are a spirited bunch and in the right age group/technique level they could develop into a good te...

Re: Age group in 2 year gaps JPL/JSL

In my opinion, the FFSA should perhaps consider a system where no club can take deposits from parents until January then kids get a three month window to go and try at different clubs (or coaches can commit to certain players if they want to determine how many spaces are available). I imagine then ...

Re: Age group in 2 year gaps JPL/JSL

I don't think is necessarily the structure of the leagues that are wrong but our almost desperate trialing system...one week after the season finishes every club has trials at the same time forcing kids to either risk going elsewhere or going along with a club that do not reveal who is in the JPL an...
