Re: Santo and his Two Stooges

If you think that show is 'homophobic' you really need to get out more. Have you ever seen Sam Newman in action?   I didn't say the show was homophobic. Correct. However I suggested though that you probably are given the content in your original post. Oooh - what if I was? Imagine t...

Re: Australia vs Korea

But AP definitely did get it wrong by failing to get a point against Korea. Such insightful analysis. You're still yet to make a point on how Ange should have done anything differently. Anyone could have looked at the result and came to the same conclusion you have they just wouldn't have take as l...

Re: Australia vs Korea

Very disappointing result - we only had to draw to come top but couldn't even manage that. Not saying "I told you so" as I want us to succeed as much as the next person, but the hype after beating lowly Kuwait and Oman was ridiculous and premature. Makes it quite a bit more difficult to w...

Re: Australia vs Korea
Please explain what you would have done differently and how that would have assured us a win?
Firstly, questioning the tactics/selection of a professional coach does not therefore mean that I believe I could do a better job than him or that I could guarantee any result. That is simpl...

Santo and his Two Stooges

Seriously what is the deal with these stooges and their extremely unfunny "comedy" show on Fox? Not one of them is funny, has ever said anything funny, and the script (which is clearly written for the stooges) is excruciatingly gay and moronic. They all act so effeminately and I have also ...

Re: Jurić’s proud message sparks unwarranted response

I am certainly not offended by it but I did wonder what people from other countries would think about it - given it is an international tournament. It is a bit odd really, a player playing for Australia displaying an obviously heartfelt message in another language. It's not like he's adopted a new c...

Re: Australia vs Oman

Whilst they both played pretty well, neither Leckie or Kruse is a winger. Being a good forward and playing in one of the wide positions in a front 3 doesn't automatically make you a winger. Neither of them seem to be aware of the requirements of wing play. Of course I am assuming that AP wants them...

As Harvey Keitel (The Wolf) said in Pulp Fiction: " Well, let's not start sucking each other's dicks quite yet " Kuwait and Oman are ordinary teams and it should be an EXPECTATION that Australia smash them. Let's start getting excited when we top the group and set up a route to a final aga...

But having watched virtually every game so far, I have noticed that players regularly stay down even after f...

I think he may be right. And I don't have a problem with it. We are going to try and run teams into the ground. Pass and move. I think teams will struggle to deal with that. Then you can bring on Bresh, burns or juric who can cause havoc in a positive Australian team I am a big fan of Luongo. My ki...

Barca - in crisis

It is interesting, somewhat ironic and perhaps almost karmic that Barca presently find themselves in crisis - IMO. This is the club that holds itself out as "More than a club" and claim their football is the "best kind of football". This is the club that accused teams who defende...

Re: 23 man Asian Cup Squad announced

I cannot understand how Franjic got selected over quite a few A League players - I've never rated him. Yes I suspect AP will play Franjic at RB as he obviously loves him, but frankly I am horrified at that prospect. To his credit Franjic has played well over the last couple of HAL seasons but inter...

If Australia wins its group it can avoid meeting Japan until the final. An Australia vs Japan final would be awesome and provide the opportunity for revenge for the last one. Re: 46 Man squad named for AFC Cup

What does AP need to pick 46 players for? He has thus far "experimented" with 42 players, taking us to 107th spot in the process (because results don't matter it is all about development). I would have thought he would be completely settled on a squad by now and have no need for further p...
