Re: Artificial pitches allowed in all 2014/2015 FA Cup round
FA general secretary Alex Horne announced 3G pitches will be allowed in all rounds of the FA Cup from next season. Horne said clubs with those surfaces can now retain home advantage in the competition. "They are a useful asset and capable of delivering 50 + hours per week as compared to natura...

Re: Tottenham considering hiring David Moyes as manager
Moyes is a good manager but he was let down badly by Fergie & Co by not being given time to stamp his authority on the club. Fergie was given 7 years before he won anything and Moyes deserved at least three years to rebuild his squad. The UTD squad was full of players who were Fergie-ites and ha...

Agree that was dumb defending, concentrating on Ronaldo & letting Ramos sneak in for easy headers. Why the shiraz didn't Mandzukic track back and pick up Ramos? ps, the Real midfield of Di Maria, Alonso, Modric & Bale can keep possession with best of them. But true, Real showed flexibility,...

I think I'll go to bed and record it instead - not really interested in who wins - except that I can't stand Arsenhole ( that's the team not the Manager who I actually like).

Stayed up to watch the Gunners on ESPN. Tense semifinal to get out of gaol against Wigan after trailing 0-1. Per Mertesacker redeemed himself, scoring the equaliser after he conceded a penalty earlier on. Wigan started the penalty shootout by missing their first two and Arsenal were home and hosed....

Re: liverpool v man city
I think the game will come down to who has the better defence. Both teams have unbelievable attacking players and midfielders but are a little suspect in defence under pressure. To my mind Liverpool have a slightly better defence "but it all depends on what happens on the day" - as the pun...

Uruguay have to be the favourites in the group due mainly to Suarez. Costa Rica have upset a number of other more fancied opponents in friendlies so can't be dismissed as 'easy beats'. They may just surprise Italy & England. Italy are playing poorly in the lead up but can NEVER be overlooked in ...

If H is really fit and playing really well at the end of the season I say pick him, if not leave him behind.
He does have experience and still has a superb touch (when fit) and can pass accurately (again if fit) but can he match the pace of international football?
