Re: playing up a year level
What if a kid is good enough to play up but parents don't want him to maybe due to friendship groups or not being physically ready? Surely the club cant force them too. Id recommend the parents to have their child to play park or school football if they dont wont to see they son/daughter to develop.

Going by last seasons results, I dare to say they require a whole new side to be at least half competitive.Bomber wrote:Seems odd to have trials for reserves, who are more inclined to be either the fringe of first team or a stepping stone for the better U/18's.

Bringing this topic back. I dont really agree with u18s JSL comp, however I do believe U17s should be an important competition and be the u18s reserve team. Im amazed that so many clubs treat this competition as a money maker and not a crucial part of development for the next group of 18s to come t...

Re: $1400 junior fees for 2019
Major club is getting too sure of itself now. Pushing the envelope at $1400 junior fees reeks of arrogance. It might be their unique way of avoiding the junior trials dramas of 2016 and 2017. Or are they offering overs to entice coaches for next year and therefore need the money? Memo to the unsusp...

Certain clubs should only look to field 1 team per age group. Aim for more stability within the squads in stead of chasing the Xtra $$$ followed by a load of head aches.

And alot of those teams with 15 and 16yos are losing heavily also. especially in the S1 & S2 comps. Panthers and Sturt losing heavily in the NPL as well and they have very, very young teams. Does not do those players any good. U18s is the age group to compete and be to competitive, to be winner...

Re: Junior Players playing both juniors and seniors
I dont get the logic of wanting to move 13 and 14year olds to play u18 or reserves. These young people still have plenty of time to develop and learn the game in their own age group. If they're good enough, they're old enough. Technically some maybe good enough, having the football intelligence and...

Re: Head-shaking results
Noticed in the 14s 15s 16s You'd expect big scores in 13s and under, but can't believe some "big teams " getting murdered. Skillaroos are bottom of 15s and 16s, with some horrible drubbings without a point in either league. A few other big teams copping it too. I’ve seen lots of U18 teams...
