Re: LADY REDS TO PLAY AT HINDMARSH STADIUM

Really.... Last two weeks have been the worst performances I've seen in a few years from the Lady Reds.

Re: NTC challenge

Continuity paying off! Correct me if I'm wrong but these girls have come through STIC, u13's, u15's and now NTC. Results at all national tournaments have been steadily improving over the last few years, actually since FFSA took over the programs. Congrats to the coaches for their involvement, from S...

Any news on this seasons squad?
Quigs, Gummer staying in Vic or coming back?
Bubs coming back?
Any other big names?

Waterhouse, Chidiac?

Re: Player "Poaching"

Is it really poaching if the players are not contracted to a club? Basically at the end of any season, surely all players are 'free agents' and can be approached by anyone or any club. Unless anyone has been signed on a two or three year contract surely this is not poaching it is simply recruiting p...

Re: AUFC 1 - 2 SFC

Most important is that Bubs sticks around!!! the single biggest difference this year compared to ALL other seasons is that The Lady reds have had a decent keeper. I'd say she has been worth 3 or 4 goals every game this year and if it wasn't for her this season would have been the same as every other...

Great performance!

No surprise that it coincided with more of our local youngsters finally getting a game - Jess W, Moni and Emily were outstanding!

Re: Lady reds

I must say, three SA players on the pitch is a joke. I cannot understand how some of these interstate players are playing ahead of Moni, izzy Hodgson, Scalzi, Waterhouse etc.. What is this doing to develop SA players and what is it going to do for the squad next year? There is no way these interstat...

Best win ever in Lady Reds history, record points haul already, just fantastic.

I am now totally expecting to smash The Lady Tards next week.

So much for our girls fitness not being up to it etc. Smashed the Matildas basically today YEY LOVE IT

Re: Lady reds

Is this weeks game vs Perth the first real test for the Lady Reds? WSW have had terrible injuries all season and missing 6/7 key players. Victory were coached by DE - awful, enough said. Jets, well they look unlikely to get any points all season and have apparently selected their NTC squad as their ...

Does DE get the whole year to work with the Victory team?

Is it that different in Victoria to here in SA? Do the players not play club football in the winter?

Didn't Mulvey also start with 4 losses at the start of last season?

Mmm I've considered for a while wether to post this or not as again it sounds like I am flip flopping my opinion on DE, but this is more of a question really.. From the game at the weekend, I thought Victory played a really nice style of football, considered build up play, controlled possession etc ...

DE picked a team FFSA wanted? Can you explain that? Did he really get forced to pick certain players by FFSA? If so that's terrible! Good if Ross is now able to select who he wants to though! just a shame he couldn't keep the internationals from the last couple of years as I thought Abby and Anna e...

HAHA what a joke! We should be glad he has left SA as it appears he did nothing for our game and has now ruined Victorian women's football too. just out of interest, why have the lady reds travelled the day before a Sydney game? Surely money could be better spent than staying in a hotel the night before a trip to Sydney? Perth, Brisbane i understand but this seems a bit over the top?

No Macri, Cassie, MJ, yet LOTS of interstate signings..? I would have thought if fit quick players were being looked for Macri would have been an obvious choice? Izzy Scalzi another?

Did SA girls not want to play or just not selected?

Good luck ladies, wherever you are from..

Not agreeing or disagreeing but could you not argue the reverse, "all the great foot skills in the world are useless if you cannot keep up with the game due to lack of fitness?" I know fitness and carrying a few extra pounds don't necessarily go hand in hand but I'm being a bit presumptuou...

Re: Lady reds

NO! SASI included a younger group but continued to run the senior group right up until it was disbanded.

SASI in my opinion got very lazy in the last few years of its running and probably needed to go but i do agree the older players, 18+ do need a program as well as the younger NTC players.

Sick of people blaming FFSA or Lady Reds coaches etc for players lack of fitness. Re: New Head Coach for Lady reds

I think Ross' appointment is a good one. He is a young ambitious coach without pre-judgement, has played for the Socceroos and comes from a family of (new and old) coaches with progressive thinking. BUT This decision says one thing very clearly (as did Barnett's): that FFSA will overlook any coach ...

congratulations to Jono Ruse for the work he has done with the team, he was badly criticised at times last year for his work with the U15's in the Premier League and for the role he played with the Lady Reds, clearly not all bad after all..
