Re: AFL 2021

Interesting that AU had copped criticism for its low attendances this year . Adelaide Crows the biggest sporting club in this state could only get 25k to game which had a Covid cap of 40k . This is side and a sport which gets saturation exposure in the media 24/7 . This follows a summer when cricket...

Re: CL on TV

Be interesting to see what happens to EPL rights, as the current Optus deal expires at end of the 2021/22 season.

You would imagine that negotiations for the next tv deal would be under way now or if not soon.

Optus Sport could not afford to lose their flag ship .

The mere fact that VAR seems to dominate this thread, goes to show its a farce and detracts from the spectacle we once knew and appreciated. Just get rid of it.
Absolutely correct dump it ASAP and just leave goal line technology .

Exaggerating is trying to influence the decision (rightly or wrongly).
Either way VAR has not improved player conduct if anything it encourages the exaggeration. As NOC says the slightest touch sees players flying through the air like they have been shot.

I hate to say this, but I completely agree with you. I haven't seen the Evreton game though.
