Re: Adelaide Utd v Perth Glory

Well done Adrian Stenta and the team for a great win against Perth Glory. It was an entertaining game and a great second half. Great game from Emily Condon but unfortunately ended up with concussion. Hopefully she will be available next week. Finally the current players were placed in their correct...

"Another post about AU from sportsbird, another whinge. It's pathetic. Shut up" United92, This forum is for people to express their opinions where it can be debated. It would be nice if you could express your opinion and challenge my comments rather than saying I am whingeing and it's pathetic. I ha...

Canberra Utd VS Adelaide Utd

I would like to say it was an entertaining game but sadly a game that AU would rather forget. But looking at the line up prior to the game, I was absolutely flabbergasted and confused. People would say it was because of injuries to two players Laura Johns and Charlotte Grant. That is not an excuse b...

Re: Alex Chidiac Signs with Melbourne City

Shock and surprise, players that chase money choose to go to the highest paying clubs. Brian the Postman, I don't quite totally agree with your comments. One reason Alex Chidiac went to Melbourne City is to regain her confidence and have another crack at making it to the Matildas like Emma Checker ...

Re: Alex Chidiac Signs with Melbourne City

Sportsbird, it’s like comparing Liverpool with Leeds United. Some clubs are big and have lots of money to splash around on facilities, coaches and players. Some are small and don’t have the resources. Ask any player born and raised in Leeds who they’d rather play for and there’s no question. You ca...

Alex Chidiac Signs with Melbourne City

Another of our talented South Australian player Alex Chidiac elected to sign with Melbourne City and not her home grown team. To all of you that think that AU is in a good place think twice. Cannot fathom Emma Checker, Jenn McCormick and Alex Chidiac not playing for AU. Why? For those who say they w...

Nothing bad to say about Karlovic this time around?
Makes a nice change
Well when credit is due I will give it. AU made a great decision in appointing a local player who has been outstanding in the WNPL the captaincy. Hope this will be a start to a bright future.

I cannot fathom how Adrian has not recruited any new local blood yet. Does he think some of the current players signed will step up considering thesew players did not dominate in the WNPL 2020. Just wondering what has happened to last season fringe players such as Ellie Tonkin and Victoria Mansueto....

The criticism of Wendy Carter is unfair, when she has to abide by the wishes of the CEO that gives her direction for the womens game. Wendy is still as passionate as ever for the development of women’s football, but gets minimal support unless it has significant impact on the bottom line. Legrove, ...

Women's Grand Final 2020

I find it disheartening that the women's grand final was held at Valo Pk while the men's Grand final will be held at Coopers Stadium. Again, the FSA are not taking women's football seriously and that is why cricket, NRL and the AFL continuing to improve in leaps and bounds ahead of our sport. Shame ...

No. W-league won’t be the same standard as in previous years. But united’s core will be the same. And we will be more competitive. Which is exciting. It’s not about “being fooled”. It’s about an opportunity for these girls to show the other states that they’re competitive when the financials are al...

Re: Head of Women's Football

Well, looking at the re-signing of players, it seems nothing has changed. It's true, as much as I thought Adrian Stenta would be his own coach in his own right, he is just a puppet on a string. Same player signings from last season. The only players that stood out this season in the WNPL was Holmes ...

Well things aren't going right at Adelaide United as another goalie decides to move on.
Our future goalie has decided to quit as she is also not happy with the club.
Not good.
