90 plus appearances for his country, who are every presents at the latter stages of major tournament would suggest he is/was not that bad!

That is sad, only 37 years old. Watched him on many occassions, was a good player but always one that opposition fans loved to hate, wasn't a bad defender though.

Re: Jock Stein death anniversary
Would not knock Busby but decision to give one a knighthood and not the other was wrong, wonder if there is anything in the fact that Stein, Busby and Shankly ( three of the greatest ever British Managers) were all bought up in tough mining villages in Lanarkshire or Ayrshire.

Jock Stein death anniversary
28 years today Jock Stein died live on TV whilst managing Scotland against Wales in Cardiff. Remember watching it on TV and hard to believe all this time has passed. A very humble, honest man who amongst others tended to the dead , dying and injured after the Ibrox disaster. Was one of the most succ...

Re: Slaughter at Celtic?
I got up at daft o'clock and watched the whole game, they were very fit and comfortable on the ball and I can't recall any bad tackles whole game, can see them being very difficult to beat at home on a plastic pitch after such a long journey. Great draw for Celtic, three great clubs visiting and atm...

Did the players get told what the selectors were looking at. Was there any one watching the kids. All the boys were sent a handout via email showing the patterns they were looking for and cant speak for all but team I was watching told just to express themselves. Will admit to being very sce...

Re: What is happening to Scottish Football??
Hearts would have ended up in this situation regardless of who is or isn't in the league, even the most ardent Hearts fan would admit that they had reservations right from the start when the Lithuanians took over. Even though when I lived in Edinburgh Hibs Hearts had a great rivalry in which the upp...
