Re: Downs vs Metrostars
Without knowing a lot about the club sounds like they have a great base to build upon to challenge in the NPL leagues, juniors & seniors.
We need more we’ll run Northern clubs to grow & be successful to challenge the eastern suburbs.

Could this be the start of Downs having the ambition to join State League 2 & showing some of the other Northern clubs how its done ?
Do the Downs also have some junior teams ?

Re: $1400 junior fees for 2019
Some of these clubs over the past couple of years have continually increased their fees by $200 + per year due to their own arrogance that parents/players will just always pay, but then struggle to explain why such a large increase is justified from the previous year. I have no problem in paying for...

Re: Does the JPL need a revamp?
Self interest all the way in SA (and FFSA) Have heard it suggested SAASL are considering affiliating with the FFSA. If that happens it will only be a matter of time before E&D also join or the SAASL clubs start their own junior teams and an entirely new structure for the FFSA junior competition...

Re: Round 3 big results
Unfortunately the majority of junior parents think their kids play for sheep stations every Sunday morning & its all about winning so they (the parents) go club hopping every year to find a suitable JPL super junior coach who also likes adding sheep stations to his coaching resume, thus you have...

Apparently according to the experts on BEIN Sports it's only the Spanish & Italians who fake injury to get players booked or sent off or receive free kicks or penalties. Well done to Rudd Guilt for stating the odvious that the English are just as guilty of it but they just distort the reporting ...

When comparing crowds & membership, ports numbers are based on members and fans of ONE traditional sanfl club,
Crows numbers are based on the other NINE sanfl clubs that backed the state team for all South Australians
9 v 1 and against the odds port still kicking ass !

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
So looks like a results based business is what the masses want. All this talk about "player development" is exactly that... talk. The Federation finally come up with an idea that will benefit junior teams in so many ways other than just on the pitch (financially 13/15 home games with mult...

Re: New Junior Structure 2014
Great idea from the FFSA, aligning all the juniors to the seniors, creates some passion & loyalty to one club from a junior level , for those complaining clubs, create an environment with quality junior coaches who follow the FFSA system and develop and improve your kids and they will want to st...

Most common reason could be that the club involved has a moderator who didn't want his club officials behaviour exposed and discussed on a public forum ?hemishovel wrote:Why was a reply edited when I responded to a forum member's question and then the topic locked ???

Justmyopinion,
Perhaps build it first before telling everyone how good it is/will be?
Gonna, coulda, shoulda?
The final product speaks louder than words.
Justmyopinion, I hope for the sake of football in SA it will be as good as you say.
Wishing you all the best !

Teaching young players to play out from the back, keep possession, body positioning, importantance of first touch, etc takes many years for young players to perfect and then develop into better technically gifted smart senior players. Teaching young players to play direct long ball football can be t...

So you don't have under 9, 10, or 11's, I'm sorry but to say you can't find another 5 - 7 players for a club that wants to compete with the big boys? You make do with what you have, if every club postponed a game because players were sick, unavailable, or on camp we would still be playing catch up g...

Re: what a disgrace for junior football
Why were' nt they available? Surely any under 10 or under 11 would (22 + players) have loved the challenge, no excuse, if one age group is not available you go to the next until numbers are filled, pretty simple if your not wanting to chase a win? Sorry but no excuse to field a team if your all abou...
