McKays spot kick hit the post but Mobedi was on hand to slot home the rebound? hoping a save was made? McKay also wasn't fouled for the penalty it was another Ingle Farm sub ( no. 15) that came on 20 mins to go that was fouled in the penalty box If you call it a penalty - the Florina defender was i...

Re: Salisbury Inter v Brahma Lodge

The Florina VS Elizabeth Vale was played on Sunday at 3pm.

It was hot, but the referee provided additional drinks breaks which was sensible.

Wouldn't have wanted it to be any hotter though!

Re: Cup round 2 draw?

How does the cup round work? Can a player play reserves and then sit on the bench for the seniors (As), or does it depend on whether the reserves win or not?

Is there the concept of being "cup tied" to a particular team?

Re: Junior trials discussion -

Just a question to parents re trials: What are your thoughts if your son/daughter was selected in a selection process that didn't distinguished a JPL team from a JSL team prior to making deposits? - Until the season started...?? I think you should know "what you are purchasing" - same goe...

Re: S.A. CLUBS: Junior registration / Youth trials ALL DETAI

Why is nearly every club trialling on September 21? If you don't trial on the first night with most clubs you don't have a chance. How are kids supposed to get a fair go when most clubs trial on the same night?? Totally agree with you the whole system of junior trials gets worse every year. i think...

a trial should not be necessary because the clubs skilled junior players should be rewarded and will be brought up to fill positions.

Re: Has the standard of U18's gone backwards

As for trials; one of the purposes of conducting trials is to find players to fill a position/s that can not be filled internally. If a clubs junior system is working, a trial should not be necessary because the clubs skilled junior players should be rewarded and will be brought up to fill position...

Re: Has the standard of U18's gone backwards

...So until we see proof; our club will continue to give a position to a player who earns that spot, first and foremost because of their talent, skill, attitude, and so forth. Not because of their age. . So how does that work when a lot of clubs don't even offer Trials for reserves level players? T...

Re: Fed players in SAASL

What about a young player who is only getting 15 minutes game time a week who needs to get more game time for development. They cant leave their Fed team as they have forked out nearly $900 to play for the season - and would lose that if they walked away! Why cant that player get game time in a SAAS...

Yes I agree. Given there was an article about a 10 year old girl who trains 16 hours a week as a ballerina - and has now been chosen to compete overseas. But some people think training 3-4 times a week is too much - well that's what it takes to reach the highest level whether it be soccer, or dancing.

Given the fact that many (but not all) PL clubs don't offer open trials at U18s and Reserve levels, I would suggest getting him into a PL club over a SL club otherwise you could find he doesn't get the opportunity to get into a PL club in the future. If a player is good enough he will make it in ei...

Re: National Scouting Report.

From the information we were given it is their fees for doing the marketing and getting the player into one of the college teams.

As I previously said the parent/player is responsible for getting all of the footage of the player in games for the DVD that NSR then create.

My son also got selected .... although selected is a strong word to use. Pretty much everyone who goes out to the trials "gets selected" - even though they don't tell you that. If you want to pay the money $5000 and then spend all YOUR time - videoing your son playing so that they can put ...

I believe U 18 is the last year of Juniors.

U20 is under 20 only - I don think any overage players are allowed (I think this is the way it is structured in NSW as well)
